Abstract

A device (20) for prevention of injury to fingers and/or hands by inadvertent insertion into the gap between a hinged door edge (8) and a door jamb (10). The device comprises one or more elongated shield(s) (50, 52), which, in some embodiments, can be held in place by the geometric shape of elements of the device, pressures arising due to the design shapes and materials, and friction, thus simplifying manufacture, installation and use.
