Abstract
Description
本発明は、このような実情に鑑みて為されたものであり、より実用的なバルクフィーダを得ることを課題として為されたものである。
複数の部品供給部からの電子回路部品の取出しは、複数の部品取出具により複数の部品供給部について同時に行われてもよく、複数の部品取出具が1つずつ、順番に行ってもよく、複数の部品供給部のうちの1つについて行われてもよい。
しかも、フィーダ本体はフィーダ保持部材の複数の保持部に着脱可能に保持されるため、必要に応じて複数の部品ケースをフィーダ本体と共に取り外すことができ、例えば、他のバルクフィーダと交換したり、電子回路部品装着機の外部で部品ケースへの電子回路部品の補給を行ったり、部品ケースの交換(部品ケースがフィーダ本体に対して着脱可能な場合)を行うことができる。
その部品ケース内の電子回路部品を前記部品収容部から前記部品供給部へ移動させる部品移動装置と、
それら部品ケースと部品移動装置とを保持するとともに、自身はフィーダ保持部材の複数の保持部のいずれかに着脱可能に保持されるフィーダ本体と

(2)少なくとも前記複数の部品ケースが前記フィーダ本体に対して着脱可能である(1)項に記載のバルクフィーダ。
部品ケースは、部品移動装置全体と共にフィーダ本体に対して着脱可能とされてもよく、部品移動装置の一部(例えば、駆動源)をフィーダ本体側に残して着脱されるようにしてもよく、部品移動装置全体をフィーダ本体側に残して着脱されるようにしてもよい。
部品移動装置は、複数の部品ケースの各々について設けられてもよく、部品移動装置の少なくとも一部が少なくとも2つの部品ケースに共用とされてもよい。
部品ケースに部品収容部,部品整列・位置決め部および部品供給部が設けられれば、電子回路部品を部品収容部から部品供給部へ、フィーダ本体を経由することなく送り、供給されるようにすることができる。そのため、フィーダ本体に電子回路部品を残すことなく、部品ケースを着脱することができ、特に、部品ケースの交換により、供給する電子回路部品の種類を変更する場合、フィーダ本体に残った電子回路部品の除去が不要であり、迅速に変更を行うことができる。
部品ケースはフィーダ本体に対して着脱可能とされず、保持されたままとされてもよい。その場合でも、部品ケースについて電子回路部品の補給や、収容される電子回路部品の種類の変更を行うことは可能であるが、部品ケースをフィーダ本体に対して着脱可能とし、交換する方が、迅速に作業を行うことができる。
(3)前記フィーダ本体が、前記複数の部品ケースを、前記フィーダ保持部材の前記複数の保持部の並び方向と平行な方向である第1方向に並べて保持する(1)項または(2)項に記載のバルクフィーダ。
複数の保持部の並び方向は、1直線に沿った方向でも、1円弧に沿った方向でもよい。
電子回路部品が回路基材に装着され、その回路基材を保持する基材保持装置が、電子回路部品供給装置と、複数の部品供給部が位置する一平面内において第1方向と直交する方向に隣接して設けられる場合、複数の部品ケースの各部品供給部と基材保持装置との距離が同じになり、部品取出具の部品供給部と基材保持装置との間の移動に要する時間の増大を抑制し得る。
ここにおいて「複数の保持部の並び方向と平行な方向に並べる」には、原則的には並び方向に平行な方向に並べるのであるが、何らかの都合により、並び方向と直交する方向に小距離ずらさざるを得ない場合、あるいは、なんらかの理由で小距離ずらした方がよい場合も含まれるものとする。次項における「複数の保持部の並び方向と直交する方向に並べる」も同様である。なお、複数の部品ケースの並びを、原則的に、「複数の保持部の並び方向と平行な方向」あるいは「複数の保持部の並び方向と直交する方向」に対してずらして並べる態様は、(5)項のバルクフィーダに含まれるものとする。
なお、回路基材には、例えば、(a)回路基板、(b)ベアチップが搭載され、チップ付基板を構成する基材、(c)ボールグリッドアレイを備えた電子回路部品が搭載される基材等が含まれる。回路基板には、未だ電子回路部品が装着されていないプリント配線板、および一方の面に電子回路部品が搭載されるとともに電気的に接合され、他方の面には電子回路部品が未装着であるプリント回路板が含まれる。
(4)前記フィーダ本体が、前記複数の部品ケースを、前記フィーダ保持部材の前記複数の保持部の並び方向と直交し、かつ、前記一平面に平行な方向である第2方向に並べて保持する(1)項ないし(3)項のいずれかに記載のバルクフィーダ。
本項が(1)項または(2)項に従属する態様では、フィーダ保持部材により保持された状態において、フィーダ本体のフィーダ保持部材の複数の保持部の並び方向と平行な方向の寸法を大きくすることなく、フィーダ本体に複数の部品ケースを保持させることができる。そのため、例えば、バルクフィーダを複数有する電子回路部品供給装置の上記複数の保持部の並び方向と平行な方向の寸法が制限されている場合でも、部品ケースの数を増やし、供給する電子回路部品の種類や供給数を増やすことができる。
(5)前記フィーダ本体が、少なくとも2つの部品ケースを、前記フィーダ保持部材の前記複数の保持部の並び方向と平行な方向の成分と、その並び方向と直交し、かつ前記一平面に平行な方向の成分とを含む方向に隔たった状態で保持する(1)項または(2)項に記載のバルクフィーダ。
(6)前記部品移動装置を制御するコントローラを含み、そのコントローラを前記フィーダ本体に残して、前記部品ケースを前記フィーダ本体から取り外し可能である(1)項ないし(5)項に記載のバルクフィーダ。
フィーダ本体に対して着脱される複数の部品ケースに対して、コントローラを共用とすることができ、部品ケースを安価に構成することができる。
(7)前記部品移動装置の駆動源を前記フィーダ本体に残して、前記部品ケースを前記フィーダ本体から取り外し可能である(1)項ないし(6)項のいずれかに記載のバルクフィーダ。
部品移動装置の駆動源を部品ケースと共にフィーダ本体に対して着脱する場合には、駆動源にエネルギを供給する配線や配管を接続,分離可能とすることが必要になり、部品ケースの着脱が面倒となるのに対し、本態様を採用すれば、部品ケースの着脱が容易となる。あるいは、フィーダ本体に対して着脱される複数の部品ケースに対して、部品移動装置の駆動源を共用とすることができ、部品ケースを安価に構成することができる。
(8)前記部品移動装置が、前記第1方向と平行な回転軸線のまわりに回転するとともに、その回転軸線を中心とする一円周上に3個以上の磁石を等角度間隔に保持し、それら磁石により電子回路部品を吸着して、下方の前記部品収容部から上方の前記部品供給部へ移動させる回転盤を含み、その回転盤が、前記第1方向において互いに隣接する2つの前記部品ケースに共用とされた(3)項に記載のバルクフィーダ。
回転盤の共用により装置コストを低減させることができる。また、部品ケースをフィーダ本体に第1方向において密集させて配置することができ、フィーダ本体をコンパクトに構成することができる。
(9)前記部品移動装置が、
前記フィーダ保持部材の複数の保持部の並び方向と平行な回転軸線のまわりに回転するとともに、その回転軸線を中心とする一円周上に3個以上の磁石を等角度間隔に保持した回転盤と、
その回転盤を回転駆動する回転駆動装置と
を含み、前記回転盤の回転に伴って、前記3個以上の磁石の各々が下方の前記部品収容部において電子回路部品を吸着し、上方の前記部品供給部へ移動させる(1)項ないし(7)項のいずれかに記載のバルクフィーダ。
(10)前記部品ケースが、前記部品収容部および前記部品供給部と、前記回転盤との間に位置する仕切板部を含み、電子回路部品が回転盤には接触しない(9)項に記載のバルクフィーダ。
部品ケースがフィーダ本体および回転盤から分離された状態でも、部品収容部および部品供給部を含む内部空間内に収容された電子回路部品が外部に流出することを防止し得る容器状を成すことが望ましい。
回転盤は部品ケースの外にあり、部品ケースがフィーダ本体に対して着脱可能とする場合、部品ケースのみを着脱することが容易である。
(11)前記部品ケースが、
前記部品収容部および前記部品供給部と、前記回転盤との間に位置する仕切板部と、
その仕切板部の、前記回転盤とは反対側の面に、前記回転盤の回転に伴う前記3個以上の磁石の回転軌跡に沿って、前記部品収容部から前記部品供給部まで延びる状態で形成された溝であって、複数の電子回路部品を、一列に並び、かつ、各電子回路部品の全体が当該溝の内部に収容された状態で案内可能な部品案内溝と、
前記部品収容部と前記部品供給部との間の位置に設けられ、前記部品案内溝に全体が収容された電子回路部品の通過を許容する一方、少なくとも一部が前記部品案内溝の外部に位置する電子回路部品の通過を阻止する通過阻止部と、
前記部品案内溝の、前記通過阻止部より下流の位置に設けられ、その通過阻止部を通過した電子回路部品のうちの最も下流側に位置するものである先頭部品に当接して、その先頭部品を部品供給部に位置決めするストッパと
を含み、それら仕切板部,部品案内溝,通過阻止部およびストッパが前記部品整列・位置決め部を構成する(10)項に記載のバルクフィーダ。
(12)前記部品ケースが互いに合わされる第1ケース部材と第2ケース部材とを含み、前記第1ケース部材の前記仕切板部を構成する部分の前記第2ケース部材側の面に前記部品案内溝が形成される一方、前記第2ケース部材の前記第1ケース部材側の面に凹部が形成され、その凹部の下部が前記部品収容部を構成するとともに、その凹部の上部の内壁面が前記部品案内溝を外周側から内周側へ横切る溝横切り部を備え、その溝横切り部が前記通過阻止部を構成する(11)項に記載のバルクフィーダ。
(13)前記部品ケースが互いに合わされる第1ケース部材と第2ケース部材とを含み、前記第1ケース部材の前記仕切板部を構成する部分の前記第2ケース部材側の面に前記部品案内溝が形成される一方、前記第2ケース部材の前記第1ケース部材側の面に凹部が形成され、その凹部の下部が前記部品収容部を構成するとともに、その凹部の上部の内壁面が、前記部品収容部から前記部品案内溝より外周側においてその部品案内溝に沿って前記部品供給部に向かって延びるとともに、その部品供給部に近い部分ほど前記部品案内溝に近接し、前記磁石に吸引されて移動する電子回路部品を前記部品案内溝側へ寄せる部品寄せ部を含む(11)項または(12)項に記載のバルクフィーダ。
(14)前記ストッパが、磁性材料から成る線材であって、前記回転盤が予め定められた回転停止位置に停止させられた状態で、一端において前記先頭部品と当接する一方、他端部が前記仕切板部を間に挟んで前記3個以上の磁石の一つと対向するストッピンを含む(11)項ないし(13)項のいずれかに記載のバルクフィーダ。

電子回路部品供給装置をコンパクトに構成することができ、あるいは大形化を抑制しつつ、供給する電子回路部品の種類,数を増やすことができる。
各装着モジュール10はそれぞれ、図2に示すように、モジュール本体18,基板搬送装置20,基板保持装置22,電子回路部品供給装置24,装着装置26,基準マーク撮像装置28(図3参照),部品撮像システム30およびコントローラ32を備えている。
本部品移動装置102は、図6に示すように、回転盤130および回転駆動装置132を含む。回転盤130は、図7および図8に示すように、横断面形状が円形を成し、フィーダ本体106により、バルクフィーダ96が保持台80に保持された状態でX軸方向に平行となる軸線まわりに回転可能に保持されている。回転盤130の回転軸線に平行な方向の中央部には、歯車134が一体に、かつ回転盤130の外周面から半径方向外向きに突出する状態で設けられている。回転盤130の歯車134の両側にはそれぞれ、駆動部136が形成されている。これら駆動部136は構造は同じであり、回転盤130の回転軸線に直角な平面に対して対称に設けられている。駆動部136には、図7に示すように、回転盤130の回転軸線を中心とし、回転盤130の端面に開口する円環状の溝138が形成され、それにより、溝138の内周側に横断面形状が円形を成す突部140が設けられ、外周側に円環状の突部142が設けられている。突部140の端面は突部142の端面より溝138の底面側へ引っ込まされている。
2つの部品ケース100は同様に構成されており、いずれもフィーダ本体106に対して着脱可能である。本部品ケース100は、図10および図11に示すように、ケース部材250,252を含む。本ケース部材250,252はいずれも透明な合成樹脂により作られ、ケース部材250の外形寸法はケース252より大きいが、ケース部材252より薄く、互いに合わされる。ケース部材250には、ケース部材252に合わされる合わせ面254とは反対側の面である外面256の中央部に、円形断面の軸部258が突設されている。ケース部材250の幅(部品ケース100がフィーダ本体106に保持された状態で前後方向となる方向の寸法)は前記回転盤130の直径より大きくされており、本部品ケース100は、ケース部材250が外面256側において前記回転盤130と対向させられ、その回転盤130と対向する部分が仕切板部253(図12参照)を構成している。
本バルクフィーダ450においても、前記バルクフィーダ96と同様に、2つの部品ケース452がフィーダ本体454によりX軸方向に並んで保持され、部品移動装置460の回転盤462は、前記回転盤130と同様に2つの部品ケース452に共用とされ、部品移動装置460が共用とされている。そのため、フィーダ本体454には、図21および図22に示すように、上面および両側面にそれぞれ開口する2つの凹部464が形成されるとともに、2つの凹部464の底部を貫通して貫通穴466が形成され、回転盤462がフィーダ本体454の幅方向に平行な軸線まわりに回転可能に嵌合されている。
本バルクフィーダ600においては、図27および図28に示すように、複数、例えば、3個の部品ケース602がフィーダ本体604の長手方向(フィーダ本体604が保持台80に取り付けられた状態ではY軸方向)に一直線状に並んで保持される。フィーダ本体604には、3つの凹部610が長手方向に1列に並んで設けられており、それぞれ前記凹部464と同様に構成され、部品ケース602が位置決めピン612,614により位置決めされ、電磁石616により吸着されてフィーダ本体604に固定される。3つの凹部610の各々に設けられた電磁石616について切換スイッチ532が設けられ、凹部610毎に電磁石616への電流供給の切換えが作業者によって行われる。部品ケース602は、前記部品ケース452と同様に構成されているが、取手550はケース部材252の上面の後部、1箇所にのみ設けられている。また、4個の電磁石616および部品ケース602の4個の永久磁石は、前後で磁極を逆にすることは不可欠ではなく、同じにしてもよい。

- 同種の電子回路部品を複数、バルク状に収容する部品収容部と、その部品収容部に収容された複数の電子回路部品を整列させ、予め定められた部品供給部に順次位置決めする部品整列・位置決め部とを含む部品ケースと、
その部品ケース内の電子回路部品を前記部品収容部から前記部品供給部へ移動させる部品移動装置と、
それら部品ケースと部品移動装置とを保持するとともに、自身はフィーダ保持部材の複数の保持部のいずれかに着脱可能に保持されるフィーダ本体と

- 請求項1ないし請求項14のいずれかに記載のバルクフィーダを複数と、前記フィーダ保持部材とを含む電子回路部品供給装置。
