Abstract
The invention relates to a device for separating containers from the contents thereof in order to allow the respective recycling thereof and to a method comprising the following steps: the product to be treated is stored in a supply hopper (1); the product is received on a flow control conveyor belt (2) located under the opening (1); the product to be treated is received between two parallel horizontal rollers (4 and 5), thereby deforming the containers; and the waste falls onto a discharge conveyor belt (6) and is transported to an inclined vibrating screen (7), allowing the separation of the elements which fall into two receiving bins (8 and 9) provided with compactors. The invention contributes to increasing the recycling of packaging containing all or part of the contents thereof and to reducing the production of carbon dioxide by reducing waste incineration.
