なお、本発明の規格画像データ構造は、DICOMデータ構造に限定されるものではないが、広く採用されているDICOMのデータ構造を採用することが好ましい。
4次元表示には各種レンダリング処理、MPRなどの動画が含まれる。 4次元的解析には体積などの時相ごとの3次元的測定の他、任意の断面に対する時相ごとの距離、角度などの2次元的測定も含まれる。また、超音波診断装置20で超音波DICOM画像を読み込み、超音波DICOM画像の4次元表示や4次元的解析を行うことができる。

- 被検体との間で超音波を送受する超音波探触子と、前記超音波探触子に取り付けられた位置センサにより前記被検体に対する該位置センサの位置及び傾きを検出する3次元位置検出手段と、前記超音波探触子で前記被検体の体表を走査して取得された3次元画像データ及び前記3次元位置検出手段により検出される前記位置センサの位置及び傾きを取得して記憶する記憶手段と、前記記憶手段に記憶された前記3次元画像データを複数のスライス画像データに分割し、前記3次元位置検出手段により検出された前記位置センサの位置及び傾き情報に基づいて、前記各スライス画像データに予め定められた規格画像データ構造の画像位置情報と傾き情報を設定する規格画像データ設定手段と、前記各スライス画像データに前記規格画像データ設定手段により設定された画像位置情報と傾き情報を付加して3次元規格画像データを生成する規格画像データ生成手段とを備えたことを特徴とする超音波診断装置。
