Abstract
Description
ところで、液晶表示装置を薄型化するには、各構成部材を薄型化したり各構成部材間の間隔を縮める必要が生じる。このとき、光学部材(開口部)とランプとの間の間隔を縮めると、いわゆるランプイメージが視認され易くなって輝度ムラが発生するおそれがある。その一方、光学部材とランプとの間の間隔を所定の大きさに保つには、例えばランプクリップの本体部の肉厚を薄くすることが考えられるものの、そうすると今度は本体部の強度が不足するおそれがあった。
本発明の照明装置は、ランプと、前記ランプを収容し、光が出射する開口部を有するシャーシと、前記シャーシに取り付けられる本体部と、前記本体部に設けられ、前記ランプを把持可能なランプ把持部とを有するランプ保持具とを備え、前記シャーシには、前記本体部における少なくとも一部が入る凹部または孔部が形成されている。
(1)前記ランプ把持部は、前記本体部に連結されるアーム部を有している構成とする。このようにすれば、ランプ把持部をなすアーム部が本体部に直接連結されているので、アーム部により把持されるランプと開口部との間の間隔をより大きくすることができる。
本発明によれば、輝度ムラを防ぐとともに、本体部の強度を十分得ることができる。
本発明の実施形態1を図1から図7によって説明する。
なお、本実施形態で用いた冷陰極管17は管径が4.0mm、冷陰極管17と反射シート23との間の距離が0.8mm、隣り合う冷陰極管17間の距離が16.4mm、冷陰極管17と拡散板15aとの距離が2.7mmとされている。このようにバックライト装置12では各構成部材間で薄型化が図られており、特に冷陰極管17と拡散板15aとの距離、冷陰極管17と反射シート23との距離を小さくしている。そして、このようなバックライト装置12の薄型化により、液晶表示装置10の厚さ(つまり液晶パネル11の表面からバックライト装置12の裏面に至る厚さ)が16mm、テレビ受信装置TVの厚さ(つまり表側キャビネットCaの表面から裏側キャビネットCbの裏面に至る厚さ)が34mmとされ、薄型のテレビ受信装置が実現されている。
本発明の実施形態2を図8によって説明する。この実施形態2では、取付部30‐A,31‐A及び取付孔32‐A,33‐Aの構造及び凹部46‐Aの形状を変更したものを示す。なお、この実施形態2では、上記した実施形態1と同じ名称の部位には、同一の符号を用いるとともにその末尾に添え字‐Aを付すものとし、構造、作用及び効果について重複する説明は省略する。
本発明の実施形態3を図9によって説明する。この実施形態3では、上記した実施形態2とは凹部閉塞部49‐Bの形状を変更したものを示す。なお、この実施形態3では、上記した実施形態2と同じ名称の部位には、同一の符号を用いるとともにその末尾に添え字‐Bを付すものとし、構造、作用及び効果について重複する説明は省略する。
本発明の実施形態4を図10によって説明する。この実施形態4では、上記した実施形態2とは凹部閉塞部49‐Bを省略し、凹部46‐Cの深さ寸法を変更したものを示す。なお、この実施形態4では、上記した実施形態2と同じ名称の部位には、同一の符号を用いるとともにその末尾に添え字‐Cを付すものとし、構造、作用及び効果について重複する説明は省略する。
本発明の実施形態5を図11によって説明する。この実施形態5では、上記した実施形態4とは本体部27‐Dの表側の面の形状を変更したものを示す。なお、この実施形態5では、上記した実施形態4と同じ名称の部位には、同一の符号を用いるとともにその末尾に添え字‐Dを付すものとし、構造、作用及び効果について重複する説明は省略する。
本発明の実施形態6を図12によって説明する。この実施形態6では、上記した実施形態2とは取付部30‐E,31‐E、取付孔32‐E,33‐E及び挿通孔34‐E,35‐Eの配置を変更したものを示す。なお、この実施形態6では、上記した実施形態2と同じ名称の部位には、同一の符号を用いるとともにその末尾に添え字‐Eを付すものとし、構造、作用及び効果について重複する説明は省略する。
本発明の実施形態7を図13によって説明する。この実施形態7では、実施形態1とは凹部46‐Fの形態を変更したものを示す。なお、この実施形態7では、上記した実施形態1と同じ名称の部位には、同一の符号を用いるとともにその末尾に添え字‐Fを付すものとし、構造、作用及び効果について重複する説明は省略する。
本発明の実施形態8を図14または図15によって説明する。この実施形態8では、シャーシ14‐Gに本体部27‐Gが入る孔部53を形成したものを示す。なお、この実施形態8では、上記した実施形態1と同じ名称の部位には、同一の符号を用いるとともにその末尾に添え字‐Gを付すものとし、構造、作用及び効果について重複する説明は省略する。
本発明の実施形態9を図16によって説明する。この実施形態9では、上記した実施形態8とは本体部27‐Hの厚さ寸法を変更したものを示す。なお、この実施形態9では、上記した実施形態8と同じ名称の部位には、同一の符号を用いるとともにその末尾に添え字‐Hを付すものとし、構造、作用及び効果について重複する説明は省略する。
本発明の実施形態10を図17または図18によって説明する。この実施形態10では、上記した実施形態8とはシャーシ14‐Iに対するランプクリップ18‐Iの取り付け方向を変更したものを示す。なお、この実施形態10では、上記した実施形態8と同じ名称の部位には、同一の符号を用いるとともにその末尾に添え字‐Iを付すものとし、構造、作用及び効果について重複する説明は省略する。
本発明は上記記述及び図面によって説明した実施形態に限定されるものではなく、例えば次のような実施形態も本発明の技術的範囲に含まれる。
(5)上記した(4)のさらなる変形例として、図22に示すように、連結部55‐Mと本体部27‐Mにおける表側の面とが立上げ部56によって繋がれる形態としたものも本発明に含まれる。
Claims (34)
- ランプと、
前記ランプを収容し、光が出射する開口部を有するシャーシと、
前記シャーシに取り付けられる本体部と、前記本体部に設けられ、前記ランプを把持可能なランプ把持部とを有するランプ保持具とを備え、
前記シャーシには、前記本体部における少なくとも一部が入る凹部または孔部が形成されている照明装置。 - 前記ランプ把持部は、前記本体部に連結されるアーム部を有している請求の範囲第1項記載の照明装置。
- 前記ランプ把持部における前記ランプとの対向面の一部が、前記本体部の表面の一部により構成されている請求の範囲第2項記載の照明装置。
- 前記本体部の表面のうち前記ランプ把持部における前記ランプとの対向面の一部を構成する部分には、凹所が形成されている請求の範囲第3項記載の照明装置。
- 前記本体部のうち、少なくとも前記ランプ把持部が設けられた部分が、前記凹部または前記孔部に入るようにしてなる請求の範囲第2項から請求の範囲第4項のいずれか1項に記載の照明装置。
- 前記ランプ把持部における前記ランプとの対向面には、前記ランプを支持する支持突部が設けられている請求の範囲第1項から請求の範囲第5項のいずれか1項に記載の照明装置。
- 前記支持突部は、前記ランプ把持部における前記ランプとの対向面のうち前記開口部からの距離が最も大きくなる部分に設けられている請求の範囲第6項記載の照明装置。
- 前記ランプ把持部は、前記本体部から立ち上がる一対のアーム部を備えており、
前記支持突部は、前記ランプ把持部のうち、前記一対のアーム部と、前記一対のアーム部間に挟まれた部分とにそれぞれ設けられるとともに、前記ランプを三点支持可能とされる請求の範囲第7項記載の照明装置。 - 前記凹部は、前記本体部の全体が入る大きさに形成されている請求の範囲第1項から請求の範囲第8項のいずれか1項に記載の照明装置。
- 前記本体部には、前記ランプ把持部が複数並んで設けられている請求の範囲第9項記載の照明装置。
- 前記シャーシの表面には、前記開口部側へ光を反射させる反射面が設けられており、
前記本体部は、その表面が前記反射面と面一状に、または前記反射面よりも前記開口部側へ突出するよう形成されている請求の範囲第1項から請求の範囲第10項のいずれか1項に記載の照明装置。 - 前記シャーシの表面には、前記開口部側へ光を反射させる反射面が設けられており、
前記本体部は、その表面が前記反射面よりも前記開口部から遠ざかる方向へ引っ込むよう形成されている請求の範囲第1項から請求の範囲第10項のいずれか1項に記載の照明装置。 - 前記シャーシの表面には、前記開口部側へ光を反射させる反射面が設けられるとともに、前記本体部の表面と前記反射面との間に段差が生じているものにおいて、
前記本体部の表面のうち少なくとも外周側部分は、外周端側に行くに連れて前記反射面との間の段差が次第に減少するよう形成されている請求の範囲第1項から請求の範囲第12項のいずれか1項に記載の照明装置。 - 前記本体部は、その表面が前記反射面と面一状に形成されている請求の範囲第11項記載の照明装置。
- 前記シャーシには、前記本体部における少なくとも一部が入る凹部が形成されている請求の範囲第1項から請求の範囲第14項のいずれか1項に記載の照明装置。
- 前記シャーシのうち前記凹部には、取付孔が設けられているのに対し、前記本体部には、前記取付孔内に挿入されるとともに、前記本体部との間で前記取付孔の周縁部を挟持可能な取付部が設けられている請求の範囲第15項記載の照明装置。
- 前記取付部は、前記本体部から前記シャーシ側へ突出する基部と、前記基部から前記本体部に沿う向きに突出する突部とから構成され、前記突部は、前記取付孔に挿入された状態から前記本体部に沿う向きにスライドされることで、前記本体部との間で前記取付孔の周縁部を挟持可能とされている請求の範囲第16項記載の照明装置。
- 前記本体部には、前記シャーシに対するスライド方向に沿って突出するとともに、前記凹部を閉塞可能な凹部閉塞部が設けられている請求の範囲第17項記載の照明装置。
- 前記取付部は、前記本体部から前記シャーシ側へ突出する基部と、前記基部から本体部に沿う向きに突出する突部とから構成され、前記各突部は、前記各取付孔に挿入されると前記本体部との間で前記各取付孔の周縁部を挟持可能とされている請求の範囲第16項記載の照明装置。
- 前記凹部は、前記本体部とほぼ同じ大きさに形成されている請求の範囲第19項記載の照明装置。
- 前記シャーシにおける前記開口部側の面は、前記凹部とその周辺部分とで前記開口部との間の距離が変化するのに対し、前記シャーシにおける前記開口部とは反対側の面は、前記凹部とその周辺部分とで前記開口部との間の距離が一定とされている請求の範囲第15項から請求の範囲第20項のいずれか1項に記載の照明装置。
- 前記シャーシには、前記本体部における少なくとも一部が入る孔部が形成されている請求の範囲第1項から請求の範囲第14項のいずれか1項に記載の照明装置。
- 前記ランプ保持具は、前記シャーシに対して前記開口部側から取り付けられるようになっている請求の範囲第22項記載の照明装置。
- 前記開口部には、透光性を有する光学部材が配されており、前記本体部には、前記ランプ把持部よりも前記光学部材側へ突出し、前記光学部材を支持可能な支持部が設けられている請求の範囲第23項記載の照明装置。
- 前記本体部における前記孔部に入る部分は、前記シャーシにおける前記開口部側とは反対側の面よりも突出するよう形成されている請求の範囲第23項または請求の範囲第24項記載の照明装置。
- 前記本体部には、前記孔部の周面よりも外側へ張り出すとともに前記孔部を閉塞可能な孔部閉塞部が設けられている請求の範囲第23項から請求の範囲第25項のいずれか1項に記載の照明装置。
- 前記シャーシには、取付孔が設けられているのに対し、前記本体部には、前記取付孔内に挿入されるとともに、前記本体部との間で前記取付孔の周縁部を挟持可能な取付部が設けられており、
前記本体部には、前記シャーシに沿って突出するとともに、前記取付孔を閉塞可能な取付孔閉塞部が設けられている請求の範囲第23項から請求の範囲第26項のいずれか1項に記載の照明装置。 - 前記ランプ保持具は、前記シャーシに対して前記開口部側とは反対側から取り付けられるようになっている請求の範囲第22項記載の照明装置。
- 前記本体部には、前記孔部の周面よりも外側へ張り出すとともに前記孔部を閉塞可能な孔部閉塞部が設けられている請求の範囲第28項記載の照明装置。
- 前記シャーシには、取付孔が設けられているのに対し、前記本体部には、前記取付孔内に挿入されるとともに、前記本体部との間で前記取付孔の周縁部を挟持可能な取付部が設けられており、
前記本体部には、前記シャーシに沿って突出するとともに、前記取付孔を閉塞可能な取付孔閉塞部が設けられている請求の範囲第28項または請求の範囲第29項記載の照明装置。 - 前記開口部には、透光性を有する光学部材が配されている請求の範囲第1項から請求の範囲第30項のいずれか1項に記載の照明装置。
- 請求の範囲第1項から請求の範囲第31項のいずれか1項に記載の照明装置と、この照明装置の表側に配される表示パネルとからなる表示装置。
- 前記表示パネルは、一対の基板間に液晶を封入してなる液晶パネルとされる請求の範囲第32項記載の表示装置。
- 請求の範囲第32項または請求の範囲第33項に記載された表示装置を備えるテレビ受信装置。
