Abstract
Provided is a high-temperature reducing thermochemical decomposing apparatus, which is suited for thermally decomposing and gasifying biomass such as wood chips. The high-temperature reducing thermochemical decomposing apparatus (100) includes a rotary kiln (130), and an electric heating device (140) is disposed around the outer circumference of the rotary kiln (130). A biomass feeding unit (200) includes a hopper (202), and the biomass is fed through a screw conveyor (210) and a cylinder (230) to the inside of the rotary kiln (130). The biomass of the cylinder (230) and the steam fed from a feed port (240) block the invasion of the ambient air. A discharge unit (300) has a duct (310), and the generated gas (G1) is sent to a next step. The lower end opening (314) of the duct (310), from which ash or the like is discharged, is opened into the water of a tray (320), thereby to prevent the invasion of the ambient air.
