Abstract

This invention is to form engraved and embossed patterns on glass frame. Its machining processes are following: Fix glass frame under intermediate process on CNC lathe with press mold for machining inner and outer surface, then form lens fixing grooves by programmed CNC machine, and place those machined glass frame press mold for machining outer sirface, and input program into CNC machine so that engraved and embossed patterns can be created, consequently as tool advances by the program thus creating engraved and embossed patterns in machining outer surface.

Description
MANUFACTURING WAY OF THE ENGRAVED IN INTOGLIO AND EMBOSSED PATTERN ON THE EDGE
OF SPECTACLE FRAME
Technical Field
[1] This invention is glasses manufacturing method in which forms engraved and embossed patterns outer side of glass frames. For more detailed description, glass frame under intermediate machining process is fixed with mold for inner and outer machining on CNC lathe, and by using tool for engraving patterns, various kinds of engraved and embossed patterns are formed on outline of glass frame - upper, lower, left and right of the frame - based on programmed CNC machining lathe, thus creating engraved and embossed patterns on outer side of glass frame. [2] On front side of glass frame and legs generally consistion of glass frame, legs and nose supporter, more than 2 colors are mixed or precious metal is fixed to improve a sense of beauty and quality. And in case that its material is metallic, it enables users to select their preference by forming various kinds of patterns using die-casting molding. In addition this, it contributes to highly value-added values by increasing quality one step former.
Disclosure of Invention Technical Problem
[3] Color layer with more than 2 colors, fixing precious metal and forming patterns by die-casting molding on the front side of glasses for improving a sense of beauty were limited to wide front area of glass frame and legs. This limitation can be found in machining method. While glasses made with titanium, metal, optil and synthetic plastic were easy to be treated to form inner grooves for fixing lens on them, those grooves were impossible to be formed glass's outer side - upper, lower, left and right side - as it is too narrow in its width making it possible to fix glasses on the side, and moreover when sharp tools are used for cutting it, poor quality of product might be generated due to vibration in tool causing tools to be broken, therefore forming engraved pattern in such a narrow space couldn't even attempted. Consequently the effort to enhance aesthetics and quality of glasses has been limited to the front side with wide area, which resulted in narrow selection of customers. Therefore it was impossiUe to make glasses more stylish and variety and sophisticated. Technical Solution
[4] For these reasons, this invention is to solve these proUems. And instead of carving patterns on the front side of glasses, its machining process is as following: Cutting material plate of titanium, metal, optil and synthetic plastics fitting outline of glass frame (50) by CNC machining, after equipping lower press mold for machining inner side of glasses on CNC machining lathe (Midosi), place the machined glass frame (50) by cutting toward upper side of the lower press mold, and then fix together the upper press mold (20) for machining inner side against above lower press mold (10); Cutting material plate of titanium, metal, optil and synthetic plastics fitting outline of glass frame (50) by CNC machining, and after equipping lower press mold for machining inner side of glasses on CNC machining lathe (Midosi), place the machined glass frame (50) by cutting toward upper side of the lower press mold, and then fix together the upper press mold (20) for machining inner side against above lower press mold (10); After completing placing and fixing glass frames (50) with upper and lower press mold (10,20) for machining inner side, form lens fixing grooves (51) as shape of 'V or 'T= ' by programmed CNC machining lathe so that tool (60) can fix lens machining shape and lens; After completing forming above lens fixing grooves, equip lower press mold (30) for machining outer side on CNC machining lathe, and place and fix the machined glass frame toward upper side of the lower press mold (30), and then fix the upper press mold (40) for machining outer side against the lower press mold together; After completing equipping glass frames (50) to the upper and lower press mold (30,40) for machining outer side, tool (60) carves engraved and embossed (52) patterns in outer surface (80) of glasses by programmed CNC machining lathe; After completing inner and outer surface of glass frames in above CNC machine, and finally remove burr from grinder.
Advantageous Effects
[5] Qass manufacturing method with engraved and embossed patterns in its inner and outer sirface, as various patterns can be formed inner and outer sirface of glasses, not only enhances a sense of beauty much more from conventional image, but also satisfies consumer's preference thus contributing to increasing values for the product. [25] Qass manufacturing process forming engraved and embossed patterns on outer and inner surface of glasses provided in this invention is following; Cutting material plate of titanium, metal, optil and synthetic plastics fitting outline of glass frame (50) by CNC machining, and after equipping lower press mold for machining inner side of glasses on CNC machining lathe (Midosi), place the machined glass frame (50) by cutting toward upper side of the lower press mold, and then fix together the upper press mold (20) for machining inner side against above lower press mold (10); After completing plaching and fixing glass frames (50) with upper and lower press mold (10,20) for machining inner side, form lens fixing grooves (51) as shape of 'V or '1^ ' by programmed CNC machining lathe so that tool (60) can fix lens machining shape and lens; After completing forming above lens fixing grooves, equip lower press mold (30) for machining outer side on CNC machining lathe, and place and fix the machined glass frame towerd upper side of the lower press mold (30), and then fix the upper press mold (40) for machining outer side against the lower press mold together; After completing equipping glass frames (50) to the upper and lower press mold (30,40) for machining outer side, tool (60) carves engraved and embossed (52) patterns in outer surface (80) of glasses by programmed CNC machining lathe; After completing inner and outer surface of glass frames in above CNC machine, and finally remove burr from grinder.
[26] In this cass, if upper and lower press mold for machining outer surface is equipper to another CNC machine without disassembling upper and lower press mold for machining inner surface, it enables to machine inner and outer surface of glasses without have to disassemble press mold. In addition, it can be manufactured to place several glass frames on the above machining press mold (10,20,30,40), and it is recommended that a number of machining press molds (10,20,30,40) be prepared depending on outer shape of glass frames. Drawing 2 is showing upper and lower press mold for machining inner surface of glass frames, and when each press mold is combined together, fasten bolts to several fixing grooves (11,12) formed in mold press, and fix upper and lower press mold (10,20)
[27] Since above upper and lower press mold (10,20) has machining groove (12,22) passed through so that lens fixing groove can be easily machined, tool (60) is advanced thus performing machining.
[28] And with above upper and lower press mold (30,40) for machining outer surface, after equipping glass frames (50) toward upper direction of the lower press mold (30) which was manufactured in advance as a shape of glass frame, fasten fixing bolts (70) into fixing grooves (31,41) in upper press mold (40) for machining outer surface , and then tool (60) carves engrave and embossed patterns (52) in outer surface by program. Drawing 4 shows picture machining inner surface, and drawing 5 shows outer surface machining. When machining is performed as above procedure, glasses with engraved and embossed patterns (52) in outer surface of glass frames (80) are produced. [29] In the meantime, various kinds of tools are necessary to forme the engraved and embossed patterns (52), it enables to carve engraved and embossed patterns by programming CNC machine depending on each tool. And also shape of engraved and embossed patterns can be varied depending on inputted program. One of the most important thing is a optimized condition for creating engraved and embossed patterns, i.e. fixing glass frames. In order to strictly fix them without any vibration, press mold (30,40) for machining outer surface in glass frame is necessary.
[30] And if machining of glass frames is completed, former machining processes are same as conventional plating, color and assembling.

[1] Qass manufacturing method with engraved and embossed patterns is following:
Cutting material plate of titanium, metal, optil and synthetic plastics fitting outline of glass frame (50) by CNC machining, after equipping lower press mold for machining inner side of glasses on CNC maching lathe (Midosi), place the machined glass frame (50) by cutting toward upper side of the lower press mold, and then fix together the upper press mold (20) for machining inner side against above lower press mold (10); Cutting material plate of titanium, metal, optil and synthetic plastics fitting outline of glass frame (50) by CNC machining, and after equipping lower press mold for machining inner side of glasses on CNC machining lathe (Midosi), place the machined glass frame (50) by cutting toward upper side of the lower press mold, and then fix together the upper press mold (20) for machining inner side against above lower press mold (10); After completing placing and fixing glass frames (50) with upper and lower press mold (10,20) for machining inner side, form lens fixing grooves (51) as shape of 'V or 'T= ' by programmed CNC machining lathe so that tool (60) can fix lens machining shape and lens; After completing forming above lens fixing grooves, equip lower press mold (30) for machining outer side on CNC machining lathe, and place and fix the machined glass frame toward upper side of the lower press mold (30), and then fix the upper press mold (40) for machining outer side against the lower press mold together; After completing equipping glass frames (50) to the upper and lower press mold (30,40) for machining outer side, tool (60) carves engraved and embossed (52) patterns in outer surface (80) of glasses by programmed CNC machining lathe; After completing inner and outer sirface of glass frames in above CNC machine, and finally remvoe birr from grinder.
