Abstract

The invention relates to a method for the start assistance of a vehicle stopped on an inclined surface and including a thermal engine (1), characterised in that, for a given position of the accelerator pedal (4), it comprises applying on the amount of fuel injected into the cylinders of the engine (1), a correction based on the measure of the slope of the road and the speed of the vehicle wheels (2).
