Abstract

 本発明は、燃料を吸気流路15途中に噴射するようにしたディーゼルエンジン1において、吸気ポート6に、吸気バルブ7の少なくとも開動作時に流路断面積が絞られるオリフィス部10を形成することにより、燃料の吸気流路内壁への付着を防止しつつその微粒化を促進し、充分に微粒化した燃料を燃焼室内に供給し、該燃焼室内での燃焼不良を防止してパティキュレート低減を図るようにした予混合圧縮着火ディーゼルエンジンである。
