Abstract
本発明は、予混合圧縮着火方式を採用し高圧噴射にて初期の燃焼を活発化させることにより、パティキュレートを低減し、且つシリンダ2の燃焼室4内圧が設定圧を超えて上昇した際に燃焼室4容積を拡張可能な筒内圧上昇緩和手段11をピストン3に具備することにより、燃焼初期の燃焼室内圧の急激な上昇を抑制して火炎温度を下げ、NOxの低減並びにノッキングの発生防止を図り、これまで低負荷時にのみ限定されていた予混合圧縮着火の使用範囲を拡張するようにしたレシプロエンジンである。
