Abstract

An approximately synchronized CDMA transmitter/receiver enabling high-efficiency code division multi-dimensional connection at low cost by carrying out approximate synchronization control by using a ZCZ code. A transmitter/receiver uses an approximately synchronized CDMA communication scheme including transmission/reception code sets each composed of first and second spreading codes and a despreading code constituting a ZCZ code. This transmitter/receiver comprises a synchronization receiving section (46) for receiving synchronization control signal, a code set selection control section (42) for outputting a selection control signal for selecting a transmission/reception code set used for spreading from the transmission/reception code sets, a spreading section (43) for spreading transmission data with the first and second spreading codes of the transmission/reception code set selected according to the selection control signal and outputting the spread transmission data as a transmission sequence at a timing determined according to the synchronization control signal, a modulating section (44) for modulating the carrier wave with the transmission sequence, and a transmission output section (45) for transmitting the modulated carrier wave.
