Abstract

This invention concerns a heterogeneous multiphase mixture consisting of at least one vulcanised elastomer in the form of a granulate, a polymer matrix that may or may not be subject to reticulation, plus various ingredients for improving the acoustic properties or impact resistance, preferably without releasing disagreeable odours. Said heterogeneous mixture for thermoplastic transformation is distinguished by the fact that it contains, in addition to the thermoplastic matrix and the vulcanised rubber granulate, a rising agent, fibres, stabilising agents that may be elastomers that can be vulcanised in situ, and compounds intended either for diminishing the effect of any unpleasant odours or for masking them after the mixture in question is used on transformed products. This invention has numerous industrial uses, particularly in the production of acoustic screens for automobiles or other industry, with bodywork elements or components for transporting fluids having mechanical or noise-reducing properties.
