Abstract

A window air conditioning unit is provided with a control door for selectively providing access to the control for the window air conditioning unit. The control door is held to a grill on the window air conditioning unit by a latch, and the latch has a user depressable portion which can be depressed to move a latch away from a latched position such that the control door can be opened with only the requirement of minimal force.
