Abstract
The gravestone consists of a slab of porcelain. An enamel is applied to said slab and fired. Digital and photographic re-touch programmes are used to assemble the decorative components that the client decides to select for the gravestone. When the composition is complete, transfer printing takes place on a digital laser printer. The transfer is enamelled and dried in order to be applied to the enamelled surface of the slab of porcelain, which will be refired in the kiln in order to fuse the two enamels, resulting in a high-shine gravestone suitable for exterior use.
Description
It is the object of the present invention to take advantage of the properties inherent in ceramics, stoneware, glass, vitro ceramics, porcelain stoneware or porcelain, so that these materials can be used from certain dimensions in the execution of headstones that present the novelty to permanently show photographs of loved ones, compositions of flowers, borders, images of saints of the devotion of the deceased, landscapes especially loved by him, various typologies and textures of letter characters or any other detail of particular interest that reminds us of any way the life of the deceased.
Specifically, these materials are used in the form of plates compacted in ceramic mold, glass or other ceramic material that can form a multitude of textures, among which are those that mimic marble in any of its modalities or granite. But we can also get textures of the most varied designs, many of them being very appropriate to achieve a beautiful background of noble material on which the photography and ornaments indicated above stand out. Upon submitting to the oven a novel tombstone is obtained in the state of the art and specific for the purpose of the present invention, achieving a combination of factors, color and physical appearance impossible to obtain with traditional tombstones, its aesthetic effect being much appreciated. A standardized system of construction of mortuary tombstones is obtained, of simple, versatile assembly since it is applicable to various textures and colors on which photographs and ornamental motifs appear at will and that takes advantage of the natural properties of hardness, resistance and isolation, colorful and aesthetic appearance of a material that until now has had numerous uses, but that has never been used as a gravestone in cemeteries. In particular, it is a resistant material, which has a very stable behavior against all physical and chemical variables, being of high longevity.
El documento ES 228291 U propone una lápida para nichos y sepulturas constituida por una pieza moldeada en material cerámico o porcelana, cuya cara vista presenta bajorrelieves decorativos de motivos y figuras, esmaltada y cocida, determinando una superficie inalterable, hallándose dotada en Ia cara posterior de un borde plano periférico para su adaptación a Ia superficie del nicho o sepultura, sin que sea posible incorporar a Ia misma los motivos ornamentales deMortuary tombstones are known in different types of materials, usually of a stony nature among which marble and granite stand out, to be embedded in the front of the niches or to be placed on the graves, of impossible conjunction with the decorative elements of the tombstones object of The present invention, since they are constructed with very different materials, in addition to requiring specific structures and particular works for each type of tombstones, each presenting its peculiar properties. In document ES 231346 U the construction of a glass frame is proposed on the outside of the tombstone to protect the photographs and other ornaments that are exposed between glass and tombstone. Document ES 228291 U proposes a tombstone for niches and graves constituted by a piece molded in ceramic or porcelain material, whose exposed face has decorative bas-reliefs of motifs and figures, enameled and baked, determining an unalterable surface, being endowed with the rear face of a peripheral flat edge for adaptation to the surface of the niche or grave, without it being possible to incorporate the ornamental motifs of
Ia lápida objeto de Ia presente invención .The gravestone object of the present invention.
The use of the base material, ceramic, porcelain or stoneware in flat is unknown for this type of application, knowing only ceramic bas-reliefs, without any document describing a structure or a configuration of ceramic tombstone as the one proposed by the present invention.
The known systems use the ceramic material either for complements, such as vases or figures, or as it has been said to configure bas-relief figures, but its use does not extend to flat textures or quadrangular shapes.
The invention object of this patent is constituted from a piece of porcelain, glass or other ceramic material on which an enamel is applied. Once cooked in the oven, the enameled piece is obtained. Through digital and photo retouching programs The assembly of the decorative elements that the client decides to choose for the tombstone is carried out. Among these decorative elements you can choose a texture of granite or marble or also a whimsical texture, colors, grain size, orientation of the grain, size of the grain, the photo of the deceased or a saint of his devotion, landscapes , flowers, borders, borders and decorated corners, type letters with textures in gold, silver, bronze and any other element provided by the client. Once the tombstone is composed, printing is carried out on a transfer in a digital laser printer machine. The machine makes a maximum size of 43 mm x 29.7 mm., Although with the advancement of computer technology the transfer could be obtained in the future with higher measures. Therefore, since the measurements of the tombstone are superior to those of the transfer, partitions are made and printed in as many parts as the size of the tombstone is, this being composed with the juxtaposition of the different parts. The transfer is enameled and dried to be applied on the enameled surface of the porcelain piece described above. With this application a piece with final design is obtained that will be baked in the oven, again, for the fusion of the two enamels. A bright tombstone is obtained and adapted for outdoor use. It can also be done instead of transfer by direct application by means of an ink-jet printer, with which the same result is obtained.
The industrial application of this invention is found in the industry of the construction of gravestones with materials basic alternatives to marble and granite, being valid for both niche tombstones and grave graves.
