Abstract

The invention relates to a holster (10) for a handgun (1), comprising a pocket (11) for holding the weapon (1) and comprising an opening (12) for inserting the weapon (1) and means for blocking the weapon in said pocket (11). The blocking means comprise a supporting element (20) having a seat for receiving the trigger guard (1b) of the weapon (1), provided with a locking element (30) that can be transversally displaced relative to the axis of the weapon (1) from one (11a) of the outer sides of the pocket (11) between a protruding active position in the seat for immobilizing the trigger guard (1b) and a retracted position freeing said trigger guard (1b) of the weapon (1).

Handgun case, such as a pistol or a revolver.

The present invention relates to a belt or thigh or shoulder case for a handgun, such as a pistol or a revolver. The cases for a handgun and in particular the belt cases must satisfy several requirements that are most often contradictory.

First of all, this type of case must allow ease of intervention, ie allow a quick exit of the weapon from the case and have all the security guarantees, ie do not authorize an unintentional release of the weapon whether by its own weight or by a third person seeking to steal the carrier's weapon.

The cases are generally formed by a pocket housing the weapon and which comprises, at its upper part, an opening for introducing said weapon. This pocket is provided on at least one of these sides, fixing means on a receiving member carried by the user. These fixing means are constituted, in the case of a belt case, by a passer supporting this pocket and, in the case of a shoulder case, by a harness connected to said pocket.

In the case of a tactical wearing, the pocket is supported by a fastening system consisting of a plate and / or a strap.

The butt of the weapon is disposed outside the pocket and the weapon is held by a safety tab, one end of which is secured to the pocket and the other end of which is fixed on said pocket by a fastening member, as for example a pressure member or a detent member.

This type of case has disadvantages that mainly reside in the fact that the safety tab can open unexpectedly during the movements of the wearer and this tab can also be opened by the action of a third person which allows this one to remove the weapon from the holster.

In addition, this safety tab hinders the return of the weapon in the holster after a voluntary release of this weapon. Holsters are also known which comprise a housing pocket of the weapon provided, at its upper part, with an opening for introducing the weapon and, at its rear part, with a support rocker of this movable weapon. successively vertically between a high position and a low position and by pivoting between a retracted position inside the pocket in which the weapon is locked in the up position against a fixed and fixed bracket of this pocket and a deployed position to the outside of said pocket and in which the weapon is cleared to retract.

This type of case is complex to implement and use and even if it prevents a third person takes the weapon out of the pocket, it does not have all the necessary security guarantees and especially it does not not allow a reintroduction of the weapon easily, because the rocker can return to the retracted position by a simple push before the reintroduction of the weapon.

The invention aims to provide a handgun holster that is simple to implement and use and has all the necessary security guarantees.

The invention therefore relates to a holster for a handgun, such as for example a pistol or a revolver, of the type comprising a pocket housing the weapon and comprising: - at its upper part, an opening of introduction of tear,

at least on one of its sides, fixing means on a receiving member carried by a user, and

means for locking the weapon in said pocket, characterized in that the means for locking the weapon comprise a support element comprising a housing for receiving the bridge of the weapon, provided with a movable locking member transversely to the longitudinal axis of the weapon from one of the outer sides of said pocket between an active position projecting into the housing for the immobilization of the bridge and a retracted position releasing said bridge. According to other features of the invention: the pocket comprises, at its upper part, a tongue movable between a first position situated above said pocket for locking the weapon and a second position tilted towards the front of this pocket,

the tongue has a first end pivotally mounted on one side of the pocket and a second end provided with a locking member on a tab fixed on the other side of said pocket;

In FIG. 1 schematically shows a case designated as a whole by the reference 10 for a handgun 1, such as a pistol or a revolver. The case 10 can be used as a belt or thigh or shoulder case and consists of a pocket designated by the general reference 11 forming a housing for the weapon 1 and which comprises, at its upper part, an opening 12 for introducing this weapon 1.

Conventionally, the weapon comprises in particular a butt 1a and a bridge 1b (Figs 1 to 3). In the storage position of the weapon 1, the weapon 1 is placed in the pocket 11 of the case 10 and the stick 1a is disposed outside said pocket.

As shown in FIG. 1, the pocket 11 is provided with fixing means on a receiving member carried by a user. In this case, the case is a belt case and these fastening means are constituted by a loop 2 supporting the pocket 1.

The pocket 11 is formed on two sides, respectively 11a and 11b, and has a front wall 11c and a rear wall 11d connecting the sides 11a and 11b. The sides 11a and 11b and the walls respectively before 11c and 11d rear determine a receiving housing of the weapon 1. As shown in Figs. 1 and 2, the pocket 11 comprises, at its upper part, a tongue 15, a first end 15a is pivotally mounted on an axis 16 fixed on the side 11a of the pocket 11 and a second end 15b is provided with a member snap-fastening such as a snap button, not shown, on a lug 18 fixed on the opposite side 11b of said pocket 11.

The tongue 15 is movable, after unlocking the end 15b of the tongue 15, between a first position located above the pocket 11 (FIG 1) to block the weapon 1 and a second position tilted forwards. from this pocket 11 (Fig. 2). An elastic member 17, such as for example a torsion spring, is mounted on the shaft 16 to bias the tongue 15 in the second position tilted towards the front of the pocket 11.

In addition to this tongue 15, the pocket comprises means for locking the weapon which comprise a support member designated by the general reference 20, shown in Figs. 2 and 4. This support element 20 is formed by a body 21 on which are fixed the sides 11a and 11b of the pocket 11. The body 21 is provided at its upper part, two tabs 22a and 22b vertical and parallel, sparing between they a housing 23 for receiving the bridge 1b of the weapon 1, as shown in FIG. 2.

Each tab 22a and 22b has an opening 24a and 24b, respectively, for guiding a locking member designated by the general reference 30 and which is shown in Figs. 3, 5 and 6.

The locking member 30 is movable in the openings

24a and 24b of the support member 20 transversely to the axis of the weapon 1, between an active position projecting into the housing 23 for the immobilization of the bridge 1b of the weapon 1 and a retracted position releasing said bridge 1b thus allowing an operator to remove the weapon from the pocket 11.

The displacement of the locking member 30 is performed by the user from the side 11a of the pocket 11, opposite the side 11b carrying the loop 2, as will be seen later.

As shown in FIG. 5, the locking member 30 is formed by a U-shaped part comprising a central branch 31 and two lateral branches, respectively 32a and 32b, vertical and parallel.

As shown in FIG. 3, the locking member 30 is positioned in the support member 20 so that the central branch 31 rests in the bottom of the housing 23 and the lateral branches, respectively 32a and 32b, are positioned in the openings, respectively 24a and 24b tabs 22a and 22b of the support member 20.

As shown in FIG. 2, the outer lateral branch 32a of the locking member 30 passes through the side 11a of the pocket 11 and is accessible from the outside of this pocket 11. The inner lateral branch 32b of the locking member 30, that is to say the branch opposite the lateral branch 32a, comprises a lug 33 intended to cooperate with the bridge 1b of the weapon 1 in the active position projecting from the locking member 30 in the housing 23 of the element of support 20.

The locking member 30 is biased into its active position by an elastic member such as a compression spring 35 (FIG.

3) mounted on a rod 36 and bearing between a stop 37 formed in the bottom of the housing 23 of the support member 20 and a stop 38 disposed below the central branch 31 of the locking member 30.

The side 11a of the pocket 11 in which the outer lateral branch 32a of the locking member 30 opens out comprises a cap 40 that can be slidably displaced on a slideway 41 fixed on said side 11a, between a covering position of the lateral branch 32a (FIG. 1) and a retracted position allowing access to this branch 32a (FIG 2).

The support member 20 as well as the locking member 30 are ambidextrous pieces that can be used for a left-handed case or a right-handed case.

When the weapon 1 is placed in the pocket 11 of the case 10, as shown in FIG. 1, this weapon 1 is held by the tongue 15 and by the lug

34 of the locking member 30 which blocks the bridge 1b of said weapon. The hood

40 covers the outer lateral branch 32a of the locking member 30 thereby preventing access to this branch 32a.

To release the weapon 1 and remove it from the pocket 11, the operator proceeds as follows.

Firstly, it moves the hood 40 in the semi-open or fully open position (FIG 2) to allow the operator to access the lateral branch 32a of the locking member 30. The outer faces respectively of side branch 32a and hood 40 are provided with substantially similar streaks so that the level of security chosen by the operator is not too apparent to a third person. In addition, these grooves allow a better grip of the side branch 32a and the cover 40. The operator releases the tongue 15 by giving a thumb on the leg 18 so that the tongue 15 pivots forward of the pocket 11 under the effect of the elastic member 17, as shown in FIG. 2.

Then, the operator presses on the side branch 32a by means of his index which has the effect of compressing the spring 35 and move the side branch 32b to retract the lug 34 to release the bridge 1b of the weapon 1.

The operator can thus remove the weapon from the pocket 11 of the case 10. When the reintroduction of the weapon 1 into the pocket 11, the bridge 1b moves the locking member via the lug 34 and this lug 34 automatically engages on the bridge 1b because of the recall the locking member 30 in the active position by the compression spring 35. After the reintroduction of the weapon 1, the operator puts back the tongue 15 and the cover 40 to remove access to the side branch 32a of the locking member 30.

According to a variant shown in Figs. 7 and 8, the case 10 comprises means 50 and 55 for blocking the transverse displacement of the locking member 30 after a vertical displacement of said locking member 30.

These locking means of the transverse displacement of the locking member 30 are formed by a recess 50 formed at the upper end of the outer lateral branch 32b of this locking member (Figure 7). These locking means are also formed by a recess 55 formed in the upper part of the opening 24b of the lug 22b of the support member 20, this opening 24b guiding the lateral branch 32b during the transverse displacement of the locking member 30.

Thus, if a third person pulls up on the weapon 1 in an attempt to extract it from the case 10, the trigger guard 1b of the weapon 10 raises the external lateral branch 32b of the locking member 30. During this lifting, the recess 50 is placed in the recess 55 which prevents any transverse displacement of the locking member 30. If a thrust is exerted on the side branch 32a. The weapon 1 can not be removed from the case 10.

Under normal conditions, the removal of the weapon 1 by the operator can be carried out identically to the previous embodiment, the locking member 30 being able to slide freely in the openings 24a and 24b of the support member 20 if there is no vertical pull on this weapon 1.

Thus, the means 50 and 55 for blocking the transverse displacement of the locking member after a vertical movement of said locking member provide additional security in the case of an attempt to extract the weapon by a third person due to locking in translation of the locking member.

The case according to the invention has the advantage, thanks to the various elements that compose it, to offer reliable retention of the weapon, while allowing easy extraction of the weapon by the operator.

Claims

1. Case (10) for a handgun (1), such as a pistol or a revolver, of the type comprising a pocket (11) housing the weapon (1) and comprising: - at its upper part, an opening (12) for introducing the weapon (1),

- At least on one (11b) of its sides, means (2) for fixing on a receiving member carried by a user, and

means (20; 30) for locking the weapon (1) in said pocket (11), characterized in that the means for locking the weapon (1) comprise a support element (20) comprising a housing; (23) receiving the bridge (1b) of the weapon (1), provided with a locking member (30) movable transversely to the axis of the weapon (1) from one (11a) external sides of the pocket (1 1), between an active position protruding into the housing (23) for the immobilization of the bridge (1b) and a retracted position releasing said bridge (1 b).

2. Case according to claim 1, characterized in that the pocket (1 1) comprises, at its upper part, a tongue (15) movable between a first position above said pocket (11) to block the weapon (1) and a second position tilted forward of this pocket (11).

3. Case according to claim 2, characterized in that the tongue (15) has a first end (15a) pivotally mounted on one side (11a) of the pocket (11) and a second end (15b) provided with an organ snap on a tab (18) fixed on the other side (11b) of said pocket (11).

4. Case according to claim 2 or 3, characterized in that the tongue (15) is associated with an elastic member (17) for returning said tongue (15) in the second position.

Case according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the support member (20) is formed by a body (21) for fixing the pocket (11) and provided at its upper part, legs (22a, 22b) vertical and parallel, forming between them said housing (23), said legs (22a, 22b) each having an opening (24a, 24b) for guiding the locking member (30).

Case according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the locking member (30) is formed by a U-shaped piece having a central branch (31) disposed between the two lugs (22a, 22b) of the support element (20) and two lateral branches (32a, 32b), vertical and parallel, each lateral branch (32a, 32b) being placed in an opening (24a, 24b) of said tabs (22a, 22b).
