Abstract

An abdominal comprising an elastic material (100) and having ends (104, 106) that can be overlapped and secured about a wearer's lower abdomen and lumbar area. The belt (100) is particularly suitable for use after a caesarian section, when the girth of the woman who has given birth will decrease fairly rapidly. The belt (100) is designed so the end can be cut off when the wearer's girth decreases.
