Abstract

Method for separating nanotube containing carbonaceous material using cyclone. The obtained nanotubes, preferably single-walled carbon nanotubes, are separated from the catalyst and soot by passing a transport gas containing the carbonaceous material in one or more cyclones. The heavier are collected in the first separator and the nanotubes are entrained in the outlet gas.
