Abstract

L'invention concerne un épaississant de type à gravité offrant une excellente capacité d'épaississement, facile à laver en raison d'une excellente capacité de séparation des boues, et présentant une excellente résistance à la corrosion et une excellente durabilité. L'invention concerne également un procédé d'épaississement consistant à placer des boues humides sur une bande (4) et à mettre la bande en mouvement pour réduire le degré d'humidité de la boue et, ainsi, épaissir la boue. La bande est constituée de fils tricotés (4a, 4b). L'humidité évacuée des boues passe par des ouvertures (4c, 4d, 4e) situées entre les fils tricotés.
