Abstract

An ultrasonic detecting device comprises arithmetically averaging means for determining the arithmetic average of the current received ultrasonic wave and the past received ultrasonic waves nA times each time it receives an ultrasonic wave while keeping the distance between a transmission probe and a reception probe constant, time series filtering means for operating a predetermined formula by multiplying a function Gj(t) of time expressing the arithmetic average by a predetermined time series filter, where j is a natural number of nA or less, and a display device for display for every variable contained in the time series filter means. The time series filter is a sine function which takes on a maximum of 1.0 at t = tT for a predetermined value tT and Δt and 0 at and before t = tT - Δt and at and after t = tT + Δt.
