Abstract

A flow field plate for a fuel cell comprising at least one channel extending from a source of fluid to a drain for said fluid, in which the cross-sectional area of said channel at drain or source is less than 95 % of the cross-sectional area at source or drain respectively. The channel may be branched, and may change in width and depth along its length.
