Abstract

The invention relates to a method for processing text in a computer unit (1) and a computer unit (1), for efficiently forming lists of descriptors. In order to form a first list (5) of descriptors is formed, a first text (10) is divided into several text groups which are separated from each other by predetermined text parts of a list of text parts (20) which is stored in a memory (15) that is associated with the computer (1). At least part of a text group is entered into the first list (5) of descriptors when its frequency in the first text (10) exceeds a first predetermined value. In a first step, a search is carried out in the text groups for all of the word groups that comprise a first predetermined number of directly adjacent words. Those word groups whose frequency in the first text exceeds the first predetermined value and which are therefore included in the first list (5) of descriptors are then deleted in the text groups. In a second step, a search is carried out in the remaining text groups for all of the word groups comprising a second predetermined number of directly adjacent words, the second predetermined number being smaller than the first predetermined number of words.
