- valve container a valve system allows the passage of steam and its extraction and closes to seal the container.
- 4,948,566 consists in proposing a sterilization unit comprising a central control center for sterilization parameters, and a plurality of latches distributed in the sterilization chamber, adapted to generate the opening and the closing of containers arranged in the latter.

- This ring 19 of diameter adapted to be inserted between the flexible fingers 15 of the valve 11, has an external annular groove 20 arranged so as to accommodate the bosses 16 of said flexible fingers, in the open position of the container 1 of said valve.
- This ring 19 further comprises a lower end section 19a having a conical outer face forming an insertion ramp between the flexible fingers 15.

- the electronic device 17 With a view to arming, the electronic device 17 is placed on the over-cover 7 in its housing 10. At this time, the valve 11 is normally closed. The springs 29 of the valve 11 are then compressed manually so that the fingers 15 enter the electronic device 17, are forced by their flexibility on the crown 19 and push the latch 21 by compressing the spring 24. When the boss 16 of fingers 15 is located opposite groove 2 of crown 19, and thanks to the elasticity of said fingers, this boss 16 penetrates into this groove 10 thereby freeing up sufficient space for the lock 21 to be pushed towards its locking position by the spring 24. The system is then armed, the valve 11 is kept open and the electronic device 17 is locked on the over-cover 7 of the container. The over-cover 7 can now be placed on the container 1 of the container provided with the cover 2, and locked on this container 1.
- the electronic device 17 measures and records the physical parameters (i.e. pressure and temperature). Its internal software compares the recorded data with programmed criteria. When these criteria have been satisfied, the electronic device 17 sends a power signal to the electromagnet 25 which is activated. The resulting magnetic field attracts the latch 21 by compressing the spring 24, thereby releasing the fingers 15. The force of the springs 29 tends to push the valve 11 and to make the boss 16 of the fingers 15 escape from the groove 20. The valve 11 closes and the electronic device 17 is free.
- the physical parameters i.e. pressure and temperature
- the industrial application of this invention is the sterilization of medico-surgical apparatus or instruments in sealed containers with the assurance that the sterile being has been obtained (by parametric release) and will be preserved.
