Abstract

An installation for inflating and/or checking tyres (34) mounted on the wheel rims (33) of a motor vehicle. Said installation comprises a compressor (3), wherein the inlet thereof is connected (2) to an external air inlet, for example an air filter (1) and the outlet thereof is connected (4) to a reservoir of compressed air, said reservoir (5) being used to feed a distributor valve (7) provided with two outlets (9,10) which are closed when said valve (7) is closed, respectively feeding a front tube (11) serving at least one front wheel and a rear tube (12) serving at least one rear wheel. The front (11) and rear tubes (12) are joined to an axial duct (30) of the axis (31) of the corresponding wheel. Said axial duct (30) is connected to the inlet of a distributor (50).
