Abstract
The invention concerns a protective sheath consisting of a conical sleeve with bellows (3) made of pliable elastomer comprising, at least at one of its ends incorporated clamping means made of elastomer, moulded in one single operation with the sheath, capable of being fixed without using tools and whereof the clamping force is independent of the manner used by the operator for mounting it, said clamping means being for example formed by a ring (5) extending the corresponding cylindrical end (1) of the sheath and capable of being folded down on said cylindrical end. The device is particularly designed for lubricated joints such as cardan links or constant velocity joints used in new or second-hand vehicles.
