SHELF
1 ) Tehnical range of the invention
The invention is refering to the production and assembly of shelves, applied in households, as well as in offices, storehouses etc. According MKP A 47 B 47/00, shelves, characterized by the possibility of disassembling or assembling of separate elements.
2) Technical problem
The production problem of wooden, metallic or other shelves is in the complicated connection of elements forming the shelf (screws, welding, sticking).
The previous way of connecting (assembling) the shelves demands a complicated assembly, such as:
A) assembly with screws and nuts
B) assembly with nails etc. C) assembly with welding (metallic shelves)
D) assembly with sticking (wooden shelves)
Types A) and B) ask for the use of specific tools for the assembly of shelves at the end user.
Types C) and D) along with a more complicated assembly, which must be performed at the producer, ask for higher transport costs from the producer to the end user, along with the problem of corrosive protection (metallic shelves).
All listed types of shelves are more expensive for production and transport to the end user.
The previous way of shelf production comprised several technical problems, listed before such as:
A) corrosion problems with metallic parts
B) complicated way of production i.e. higher prices
3) Stand of technology
Today in the world shelves with prefabricated metallic frames for the insertion of boards are familiar. There are also shelves with poles fixed by screws to the wall and on the poles brackets holding boards are fastened. Another type are shelves or racks made completely of wood or metall, or only brackets, fixed by screws to the wall and connected with boards.
4) Exposure of the essence of invention
The scope of the invention is to eliminate the previously listed disadvanteges i.e.:
A) to simplify the assembly of shelves without the use of specific tools and additional connecting elements (screws, nuts, nails etc.)
B) to simplify masimally the production of shelf elements to minimize the end price
C) to prepare the shelf for transport to the end user in a package with minimal dimensions to save transport costs.
D) during design of the product efforts were made to avoid metall elements, in favour of wood and plastics, to increase the product life, due to absence of corrosion (no painting required).
E) the shelf consists of wooden and plastic elements. The scope during design was to make all elements of complicated shape of plastics (by injecting) which is a cheaper technological procedure, and other elements are of wood with a simple shape in order to simplify the production and make it cheaper, which is the essence of this invention.
F) the link is made of plastics, shaped without additional elements for connection with wooden laths i.e. no special tools.
G) the design of shelf allows an unlimited extension in length and height. 5) Detailed description of invention Fig. 1 shows the assembled shelf, consisting of link 01 , vertical lath 02, horizontal lath 03, vertical end (lower) lath 04, clamp 05 and clamp 06. During assembly first are all horizontal laths 03 inserted into link 01 (Fig.2) under an angle α (10°-35°) as shown on Fig. 3 and by turning into horizontal position, the upper inclined tooth (detail "A") on link 01 is wedged to the groove of horizontal lath 03 (detail "B"). The wedged position shows Fig. 4
(detail A-B). By inserting vertical laths 02 and 04 in the provided openings of link 01 all elements are fastened reciprocally, as shown on Fig. 4. The rigidity of connecting elements is achieved by a prestress between horizontal laths 03 and vertical laths 02 and 04, due to a difference between dimension X and dimension X-0,2 (Fig. 3).
The dimension X is larger than dimension X-0,2 for 0,1-0,5 mm.
The vertical extension of shelves is unlimited and is achieved by mounting of new vertical laths 02 and horizontal laths 03 with links 01 as shown on Fig. 2.
The horizontal extension of shelves is performed by clamp 05 and clamp 06 inserted into openings of link 01 , shown on Fig. 5 and 6.
The horizontal extension of shelves is also fixed by clamp 05 and clamp 06, Fig. 6, which is inserted into the openings on the final link 01. The clamp 05 (Fig. 7 and 8) and clamp 06 (Fig. 9 and 10) is made with a groove in the middle, for breaking or cutting. With such a clamps 05 and 06, the opening on link 01 is plugged, if the shelf is not extended.
