Description

PORTE-FILTRE A CAFE COFFEE FILTER HOLDER
The present invention relates to a coffee filter holder of the type comprising a body capable of receiving a filtering means inside which is placed coffee powder and receiving water previously heated, said body comprising in its lower part at minus one outlet for the flow of a filtered infusion.
The field of application in particular although not exclusively targeted by the invention is that of household electric coffee makers, for example of the drip type, in which the cold water contained in a tank is previously heated by a resistance electric, then delivered inside the filtering means.
The coffee filter holder of the invention can, however, also be used independently of any electrical appliance, the user himself supplying hot water.
In this type of coffee filter holder, it is known that the quality of the filtered infusion obtained strongly depends on the quantity of coffee to be prepared. In fact, the quantity of coffee powder poured into the filtering means will influence the speed of passage of hot water through the filtering means.
More precisely, when a large number of cups of coffee have to be prepared, the large quantity of coffee powder required will prevent the brewing of the brew from being too rapid, so that brewing times sufficient to obtain getting good coffee. 2 On the other hand, in the case of the preparation of a small number of cups of coffee, the grinding in the filter medium is not in sufficient quantity to slow down the flow of hot water. In this case, a poor coffee is obtained for which the duration of brewing was not sufficient.
Un tel porte-filtre est par exemple décrit dans le document FR- A-2 454 784.It is already known in coffee filter holders currently on the market to provide the outlet port of the filter holder with mechanical means for adjusting the infusion rate as a function of the number of cups desired. Such a filter holder is for example described in the document FR-A-2 454 784.
In a different way, the present invention recommends, not to modify the flow rate of the infusion as a function of the number of cups, but to delay the start of the flow phase of the filtered infusion at the outlet of the holder. filter of a predetermined duration, regardless of the number of coffee cups.
More specifically, the coffee filter holder according to the invention is characterized in that it further comprises a member sensitive to temperature, in thermal contact with the filtered infusion, said member being adapted to pass, at a temperature of predefined setpoint, from a first position in which it forms a barrier to the flow of the filtered infusion to a second position in which it authorizes said flow, and a delay means for delaying the passage of said organ from its first position to its second position.
In other words, the timing means introduces a delay between the moment when the filtered infusion is at an actual temperature capable of causing the temperature-sensitive member to pass into its second position allowing the flow and the moment when said organ 3 effectively measures an image temperature of this real temperature.
This is all the more important when you have to prepare a small amount of coffee. Indeed, in this case, the previously heated water arrives very quickly at the temperature-sensitive member, due to the small amount of ground coffee to pass through.
Without the presence of the time delay means, this would instantly cause said member to pass into its second position allowing flow, which would not allow the desired objective to be fulfilled.
Thus, the combination according to the invention of the temperature-sensitive member and the delay means introducing the delay guarantees that the hot water will remain in contact with the ground coffee for a minimum duration, regardless of the quantity of coffee to be made.
L'invention, ainsi que les avantages qu'elle procure, seront mieux compris au vu de la description ci- après d'exemples de réalisation possible, faite en référence aux figures annexées, dans lesquelles : - la figure 1 illustre schématiquement en coupe verticale un premier mode de réalisation d'un porte-filtre conforme à la présente invention en position de barrage à l'écoulement de l'infusion filtrée ;The invention, as well as the advantages which it provides, will be better understood in the light of the description below of possible embodiments, made with reference to the appended figures, in which: - Figure 1 schematically illustrates in vertical section a first embodiment of a filter holder according to the present invention in the barrier position to the flow of the filtered infusion;
- la figure 2 illustre en coupe verticale le porte- filtre de la figure 1, en position d'ouverture du moyen de barrage ;- Figure 2 illustrates in vertical section the filter holder of Figure 1, in the open position of the barrier means;
- la figure 3 illustre un second mode de réalisation d'un porte-filtre conforme à la présente invention ;- Figure 3 illustrates a second embodiment of a filter holder according to the present invention;
As shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, a coffee filter holder, according to a first possible embodiment in accordance with the invention, conventionally comprises a body 1 defining an infusion chamber inside which a filter means 2 such as a disposable paper filter shown in broken lines in the figures. The coffee powder (not shown) is then placed inside the filtering means 2 which receives, through the open upper part 10 of the body 1, water previously heated, for example to 90 ° C. The body 1 may have the shape of a funnel, preferably made of plastic, and comprises in its lower part, at least one outlet orifice 11 for the flow of a filtered infusion.
According to a first important characteristic of the present invention, the filter holder further comprises a member sensitive to temperature and placed in thermal contact with the filtered infusion, this member being liable to pass, at a predetermined set temperature, from a first position in which the filtered infusion cannot flow, to a second position allowing the flow.
In FIGS. 1 and 2, this member is constituted by a bimetallic disc 30, placed inside a part forming an intermediate chamber 31. This intermediate chamber 31 has in its lower wall 32, an opening 33 substantially circular, placed under the bimetallic disc 30, concentrically to the latter. The dimension of the opening 33 is smaller than that of the bimetallic disc 30 so that the edge of the opening forms a seat for the disc. A seal J provides the seal between the body 1 and the part forming an intermediate chamber. 5 According to a second important characteristic, the filter holder according to the invention also comprises a delay means delaying the passage of the temperature-sensitive member from its first shut-off position to its second position allowing the flow of the infusion.
In FIGS. 1 and 2, this time delay means is produced by a coating 34 made of a material with low thermal conductivity, for example rubber, covering at least partially the face of the bimetallic disc 30 in contact with the infusion, the coating having a thickness depending on the delay that one wishes to obtain.
In the first so-called rest position of the bimetallic disc 30 shown in FIG. 1, this position corresponding to a non-use of the filter holder or at the start of an infusion process, the bi-metallic disc 30 has a camber convex such that its peripheral edge on the side of the covering 34, is pressed against the seat formed by the edge of the opening 33.
The filtered infusion from the outlet orifice therefore fills the intermediate chamber formed by the part 31 and comes into thermal contact with the bimetallic disc, but cannot flow through the opening 33.
De manière avantageuse, on constate que l'étan- chéité au niveau du siège est renforcée par la présence du revêtement 34.Advantageously, it can be seen that the seal at the level of the seat is reinforced by the presence of the covering 34.
The bimetallic disc 30 is adjusted to reverse its camber at a predetermined set temperature, for example 75 ° C. This inversion of camber is 6 takes place after a certain time corresponding to the delay introduced by the coating 34, previously at which the bimetallic disc blocks the flow of the infusion. This delay is fixed here by the thickness of the coating, depending on the material used. Preferably, the disc forming the temperature-sensitive member and the coating forming a time delay means are designed to allow the flow of the infusion after a fixed period, advantageously equal to approximately 1 minute and 30 seconds.
En conséquence, l'infusion jusque-là retenue va pouvoir s'écouler au travers de 1 ' ouverture 33.After reversing the camber of the disc, the latter is in the position illustrated in FIG. 2. As can be seen, the peripheral edge of the disc 30 has moved away from the seat. Consequently, the infusion hitherto retained will be able to flow through the opening 33.
As shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, the lower wall 32 of the part forming an intermediate chamber 31 advantageously extends below the opening 33 by a frustoconical base 35 provided with an outlet orifice 36, of so as to channel the flow of the filtered infusion.
7 Les figures 3 et 4 illustrent un deuxième mode de réalisation possible conforme à l'invention:In the embodiment so far described, the outlet orifice 11 of the filter holder is placed on a vertical axis of the body 1, and allows a vertical flow of the infusion. The part forming an intermediate chamber is, for its part, fixed under the filter holder concentrically with the outlet orifice 11, by any known means. 7 Figures 3 and 4 illustrate a second possible embodiment in accordance with the invention:
In this embodiment, the outlet orifice 11 of the body 1 of the filter holder is placed so as to allow lateral flow of the filtered infusion into a reservoir 4 adjoining said body. The reservoir 4 extends vertically along the body 1, and has a lower opening end on which is fixed concentrically the assembly 3 comprising the reference elements 30 to 39 previously described.
The vertical wall of the reservoir 4 is preferably transparent, which allows a user to view the level of infusion filtered inside the reservoir.
Bien entendu, d'autres formes de réalisation d'un porte-filtre peuvent être envisagées sans se départir du cadre de 1 * invention :Of course, other embodiments of a filter holder can be envisaged without departing from the scope of the invention:
Thus, the inversion of the camber of the bimetallic disc could displace a separate obturator means preventing or on the contrary allowing, depending on the camber, the flow of the infusion.
Furthermore, the use of a bimetallic disc can be generalized to any member sensitive to a set temperature, for example a linear bimetallic strip or a shape memory alloy, capable of being in two positions as a function of the temperature, and to control the barrage or the flow of the infusion.
