Abstract

The invention comprises a portable communications unit for a mobile telephone comprising at least one connecting plug, said unit comprising at least one receiver (11) comprising at least one microphone and at least one speaker, and the docking station additionally comprises at least one electrical amplifier circuit for transferring an electrical signal between the connecting plug and the speaker of the receiver and at least one electrical amplifier circuit for transferring an electrical signal between the connecting plug and the speaker of the receiver. The invention allows a more flexible and user friendly use of a mobile telephone (20), as the unit permits a user to use a receiver (11) which is connected to the mobile telephone (20) via the docking station.
