Abstract
The multifunctional device for containing a reducible, extractable and articulated umbrella and with handle functions according to the present invention consists of a rigid container (1), shaped for receiving inside a reducible umbrella (0), having its fulcrum at one end and that may be extroverted in articulations (5 and 6) at the moment of use, whereby said container (1), when it is closed again, is an efficient handle with wide hand grip.
Description
" A MULTIFUNCT IONAL DEVICE FOR CONTAI NI NG A REDUCIBLE , EXTRACTABLE AND ARTICULATED UMBRELLA, AND WITH HANDLE FUNCTION"
The presenti invention concerns a multifunctional device for containing, like a rigid, shaped holder, a reducible , extractable and articulated umbrella and forming, once said umbrella has been extracted, a handle for holding it.
The present invention has its origin in two fundamental needs , listed by all users of reducible umbrellas :
- said umbrellas , when closed and reduced , are usually kept in a soft container, which must be kept in a pocket and/or in a bag when the umbrella is in use , which often leads to forget or loose said container;
- the handle of said umbrellas , being reduced for evident space reasons , has an unsatisfactory grip-
It is the aim of the present invention to completely solve above mentioned inconveniences by means of the multifunctional device according to the present invention, which:
- forms one single compact element between container and reducible umbrella, so as not to show separate parts;
- has a perfect operative functionality in opening and closing of the umbrella;
- shows the same encumbrance of the known reducible umbrellas;
- allows a good grip when the umbrella is in use.
The aim set forth is reached by means of the device according to the present invention, consisting of a rigid container shaped for containing a reducible umbrella, having a fulcrum at one end and which may be extroverted in an articulated joint for use, wherein said container, when closed again, represents an efficient handle with a good grip.
The device according to the present invention may be carried like a reducible umbrella of the known kind or coupled to suit-cases, bags or similar.
The present invention will be explained more in detail hereinbelow relating to the enclosed drawings, in which some embodiments are shown.
Figure 1 shows an axonometric view of a multifunctional device according to the present
invention, for containing a reducible, extractable and articulated umbrella and with handle function for opening and using the umbrella.
Figure 2 shows an axonometric view of the device according to the present invention, closed for transport.
Figure 3 shows a plant view of the device according to the present invention, when the container is being opened.
Figure 4 shows a device according to the present invention, when the umbrella is completely extroverted and opened and that may be held by means of the end container, after the same has been closed again.
Figures 5 and 6 show two possible variants of the device according to the present invention, one being externally and the other one internally applied to the structure of a small rigid suit-case or similar.
The enclosed figures show a multifuncional device according to the present invention for containing a reducible, extractable and articulated umbrella 0 and with handle functions, comprising:
- a preferably cylindrical or prismatic, anatomic structure 1, realized with rigid plastic material or metal or of other kind, that may be preferably opened, as a zip fastener or similar along a plane passing through the symmetrical axis S, into two parts A and B, provided with rounded, terminal blunted parts 2 and 3, that may contain a reduced umbrella 0 and that may form, once it is closed again, an efficient handle for a wide hand grip;
- a means for an external extroversion of the supporting rod 4 of said umbrella 0, consisting of a cylindric articulation 5 or of other kind, linked to the base of said axis 4, and in a corresponding housing 6, and also internally linked to one of said parts A or B;
- a guide for the insertion of said rod 4, realized in two consecutive parts 7 and 8, respectively suited for keeping said rod 4 aligned along the axis S of the structure in the containing phase, and for supporting the umbrella, open for use, outwardly extroverted along said axis S.
In the variant described in figure 5, said container 1, appropriately shaped, may be applied by hooking, insertion, by a magnet or in any other way to the external structure of a rigid suit-case V, so as to allow a quick detaching and extraction of the
contained umbrella 0 without any transport encumbrance .
In a similar way , relating to the details of figure 6 , the device may be inserted in a housing 9 , provided inside suit-cases V of any kind and accessible from the outside following to the opening by means of a key 11 of a covering element 10.
Claims
