The present invention relates to a disc brake for a motor vehicle, comprising a yoke, first and second pads each of which has first and second substantially vertical edges and a central zone covered with a layer of friction material, each pad being held by the yoke in the vicinity of its edges, a caliper mounted sliding with respect to the yoke, a brake motor associated with the caliper and capable of being actuated to cause the application of the pads on the disc in a first substantially relative first direction perpendicular to the disc and pointing towards it, and elastic means for moving the first at least of the pads from the disc after the brake has been actuated, these elastic means comprising at least one first spring comprising at least one first blade extending at least partially in a plane and arranged between the yoke and the first edge of the first shoe, this first blade having an edge outer and an inner edge substantially parallel to the disc, the second of which is closer to the disc than the first, and which are distant from each other by a distance at least equal to a distance separating two extreme positions than the first skate can adopt relative to the yoke, this first blade comprising at least a first flexible tongue which is connected to its outer edge and which, at a distance from this edge, has a useful section of which a first part at least points towards the disc.
Des freins à disque de ce type sont connus depuis fort longtemps dans l'art antérieur sous la dénomination de freins à disque à étrier coulissant, et un exemple en est donné dans le document JP-A-58 142 038.Disc brakes of this type have been known for a long time in the prior art under the name of sliding caliper disc brakes, and an example is given in the document JP-A-58 142 038.
A problem also well known in the prior art with this type of brake lies in the difficulty in obtaining a satisfactory recoil of the pads after a braking operation, and in particular the recoil of the so-called "outer" pad which is located opposite the brake motor and which can indeed return to its rest position only by a movement of the caliper.
However, any insufficient recoil of at least one of the pads after braking results in the fact that this pad continues to rub on the disc, which causes a parasitic residual torque opposing the running of the vehicle, as well as premature wear of the skate.
Although different springs already proposed to avoid this residual torque give satisfaction, most of these springs have the disadvantage either of being of a complex embodiment, or of disturbing the operation of the brake significantly.
Other springs, such as that illustrated in the aforementioned Japanese document, do not allow sufficient retraction of the pads.
In this context, the object of the present invention is to propose a sliding caliper disc brake provided with a spring of simple construction and making it possible to obtain the satisfactory recoil of at least one of the pads without interfering with the normal operation of the brake.
To this end, the brake of the invention, of the type identified above, is essentially characterized in that the useful section of the first tongue comprises a second part which constitutes a free end for this first tongue, which forms with the first part a angle at which it points towards the central area of the first pad, and which rests on the edge of the layer of friction material carried by this pad.
For optimal operation, this brake further comprises a second blade similar to the first, disposed between the yoke and the second edge of the first pad and having at least a second tongue similar to the first.
According to a very simple embodiment, the first and second blades are carried by respective first and second springs.
In this case, it is advantageous that the first and second springs also carry, respectively, third and fourth blades, similar to the first two and acting respectively in the vicinity of the first and second edges of the second shoe.
Preferably, each spring is made of stainless steel and has at least one attachment profile making it possible to attach it to the yoke.
Other characteristics and advantages of the invention will emerge clearly from the description given below, by way of indication and in no way limitative, with reference to the appended drawings, in which:

The invention relates generally to sliding caliper disc brakes intended to equip motor vehicles.
Each pad has first and second edges 3a, 3b, 4a, 4b substantially vertical and a central zone 3c, 4c covered with a layer of friction material 30, 40 and each pad is held in the yoke 1 by means of of its edges.
A brake motor 5, associated with the caliper 2, is capable of being actuated to cause the application of the pads on the disc 6 in a first relative direction Dl, substantially perpendicular to the disc and pointing towards it for each of the pads.
Elastic means are further provided for distancing from the disc 6 at least a first of the pads, for example the pad 3, after actuation of the brake.
More specifically, these elastic means comprise at least a first spring 7, and preferably also a second spring 8, similar to the first and arranged symmetrically with respect to it. The first spring 7 comprises at least a first blade 71 extending at least partially in a plane P (Figures 2 and 5) and disposed between the yoke 1 and the first edge 3a of the first shoe 3, this first blade having (Figure 4 ) an outer edge 71a and an inner edge 71b both substantially parallel to the disc 6.
The internal edge 71b is closer to the disc than the external edge 71a, and the distance L between these edges, which determines the width of the blade 71, is at least equal to the stroke made by the first shoe relative to the yoke between the position furthest from the disc, which it occupies when it is new while the brake is at rest, and the position closest to the disc, which it occupies when it is used while the brake is applied .
Grâce à ces dispositions, le bord 3a du patin 3 se trouve toujours en appui sur la lame 71.Thanks to these arrangements, the edge 3a of the shoe 3 is always supported on the blade 71.
As shown in FIGS. 4 and 5, the first blade 71 comprises at least one first flexible tongue 710 which is connected to its external edge 71a and which, at a distance from this edge, has a useful section of which a first part 710a points towards the disk.
According to the invention, this useful section comprises a second part 710b which constitutes a free end for the first tab 710, which forms with the first part 710a an angle A thanks to which it points towards the central zone 3c of the first shoe 3, and which rests on the edge 30a of the layer of friction material carried by this pad.
Under these conditions, the free end 710b of the tongue 710 exerts on the edge 30a of the layer of friction material 30 of this shoe a force, a first component of which is oriented in a direction D2, inverse to the first relative direction Dl ( Figure 5), and which allows a satisfactory recoil of the skate, and a second component, oriented towards the central zone 3c of the first skate, and which avoids noise caused by impacts between this skate and the yoke.
lame non visible mais semblable à la première lame 71, disposée entre la chape et le second bord 3b du premier patin 3 et présentant au moins une seconde languette elle-même non visible mais semblable à la première languette 710.Preferably, a second spring 8, similar to the first spring 7, carries a second blade not visible but similar to the first blade 71, disposed between the yoke and the second edge 3b of the first shoe 3 and having at least one second tongue itself not visible but similar to the first tongue 710.
As will be understood by those skilled in the art, the first and second blades previously described are therefore symmetrical with respect to the plane perpendicular to the disc 6, passing through its axis, and identified by its trace Q, visible in FIG. 1.
De même, le premier ressort porte de préférence une troisième lame 73 symétrique de la première lame 71 par rapport au plan médian du disque 6, dont la trace sur la figure 1 est confondu avec la ligne II-II, la troisième lame étant réunie à la première par une jonction 70 formant partie intégrante du ressort 7.Similarly, the first spring preferably carries a third blade 73 symmetrical with the first blade 71 with respect to the median plane of the disc 6, the trace of which in FIG. 1 coincides with the line II-II, the third blade being joined to the first by a junction 70 forming an integral part of the spring 7.
Enfin, le second ressort 8 porte lui-même une quatrième lame, symétrique de la seconde lame par rapport au plan médian du disque 6, ces troisième et quatrième lames, telles que 73, agissant au voisinage des premier et second bords respectifs, tels que 40a, de la couche de matériau de friction 40 du second patin 4.Finally, the second spring 8 itself carries a fourth blade, symmetrical with the second blade with respect to the median plane of the disc 6, these third and fourth blades, such as 73, acting in the vicinity of the respective first and second edges, such that 40a, of the layer of friction material 40 of the second shoe 4.
Each spring is for example made of stainless steel and has at least one attachment profile such as 75 (FIGS. 2 and 3) making it possible to hold it in place on the yoke 1.
