Description
FASHION CLOTHING WITH
INSTANTL Y VARIABLE DISPLAY
ADVERTISING ABILITY
The invention is clothins' includir hirtε, jackets, trousers, sf.χ-rts . clothing and ha ts of different designs made predominant ly from fabric or material compatible wi th hook and loop fabric fastening systems (male and female clinging materials) now widely and commonly known as "Velcro " which is the main brand name of the system that has now become the common name to the public and the fashion industry.
.A! though the hook and loop fastening system is widely used on clothing a t present for fastening bel ts, fly openings, pocket flaps , ip covers etc. the invention is novel in that the majori ty of the garment is made from such material so that various sized and shaped pieces of fabric , printed material , advertising displays and the like can be fastened quick) v an-cwhere on the garment by use of the compatible hook half of the fastening system.
A favoured garment design would be a jacket wi th removable sleeves (leaving a vest for use in warmer weather) , such a jacket could be made so that i t could be reversible (ie able to be turned inside out) in two colours and would be made predominantly from a hook and loop compatible material . The garment materials would most commonly be (but could be other compatible material ) of the type presently used for covering commercial display boards and parti tions and gallery and exliibi tion centre walls so that various display photographs, promotional materials and samples can be fastened to the walls (using the hook and loop system) in any design and posi tion, and then be readily removed wi thout damaging or marking the walls or display boards. These materials are usually of a melded type construction and are able to work compatibly with the hook or abrasive half of the hook and loop fastening system to enable firm but easily removable fastening between the two surfaces.
FIGURE 1 shows a sketch of a typical design and use of the invention.
Tliis novel invention allows people (and other animals such as competing- horses, dogs, cats etc) to wear clothing which can display topical comments, company logos, promotional material , poli tical statements, sponsor 's names, personal statements, colourful displays . sporting heroes and the like in any way or design they wish, and have the abili ty to change i t at will wi thout damage to the clothing and wi thout having to purchase a new tee-shirt or similar just because wha t was printed or sewn on the old one is out of date or no longer topical , the fad or trend.
When using compatible hook fastening- material (whether large pieces or small dots or spots, which are self adhesive and can be used to fasten fabric, plastic, paper or other materials to the clothing ) , the now out of date or unwanted displays can be simply removed or even shifted to a less prominent place on the clothing-.
Yet another version of the invention would be overalls (complete body sui t) made from such velcro compatible fabric to be worn by persons engaged in the recreational activi ty or game , where people jump, dive or glide against walls or suspended mats, or curtains covered with hook velcro. The overalls would attach to the wall or suspended mat/curtains, catching the person wearing the suit.
