Abstract
In remote control operating systems with transmission of data between a central station and a plurality of sub-stations (US1...USn), spontaneous announcements have to be transmitted from these sub-stations, preferably after an interrogation, to the central station. The aim is to obtain a reliable interrogation after a short period of time from all the sub-stations on the presence or spontaneous announcements with the successive and addressed interrogation of the sub-stations having set spontaneous announcements. After the collective call from the central station, a switch on-switch off of all sub-stations of the series and according to the transmission level is achieved within a short time, to which only the sub-stations (US3) having a spontaneous announcement do not react. The central station interpretes the transitional pulses resulting from the switch on-switch on of the transmission level as an addressed interrogation.
Description
The invention relates to an identification method in telecontrol systems in community traffic, in which a general request is sent from a central station within a cycle for spontaneous information and a feedback from the substation takes place.
In the case of telecontrol systems, spontaneous reports must be sent from the sub-stations to the head office in the ongoing process information (messages, measured values, counts) to be transmitted. This transmission takes place, for example, after a call telegram from the head office, but it can also be carried out by continuously polling all substations. In community traffic, all sub-stations are connected to a bus line, which consists of a control channel and a monitoring channel. The sub-stations are called up in the control channel and they give their information to the control center in the monitoring channel (book: "Fernwirktechnik", Bendorf, Bizer, Gerner, Müller, Rödig, Schindele, Schmudlach, Wolfgarten, VDI-Verlag, 1975, p. 27 -29). At certain times, the central office calls to all sub-stations whether there is spontaneous information. Spontaneous information is understood to mean messages that must be transmitted spontaneously and immediately according to their meaning. This spontaneous information, which is only very sporadically available, must therefore be identified from the large number of substations.
When transmitting information in community traffic, telegrams can overlap, which leads to malfunctions. It must therefore be ensured that the telegrams are transmitted to the control center serially.
Es ist auch bekannt, nur einen Teilabschnitt der Unterstationen abzufragen, um so eine Aussa über das Vorhandensein von spontanen Meldungen zu erhalteIt is known to query the substations in sequence or all at once in a cycle from the central station and to wait for a response (time grading). Since the information obtained can only be transmitted serially, this process is time-consuming. Since there is no spontaneous information in a large number of sub-stations, but these stations are nevertheless queried, the transmission lines are blocked for the duration of the query, and this method is uneconomical. It is also known to query only a subsection of the substations in order to obtain a statement about the presence of spontaneous messages
The object of the invention is therefore to promptly and reliably query all substations whether and where there is sptane information. After a general call to all sub-stations and the determination of spontaneous information, there should be a specific query with high priority.
This is achieved according to the invention in that after the central station has been called up, the transmission level is briefly switched on and off in succession for all the substations and only the substations with spontaneous data do not respond to this call. The control center evaluates the transient impulses resulting from the short-term switching on and off of the transmission level and specifically queries the sub-stations with the spontaneous data.
The rapid recognition of spontaneous information is advantageous in the method according to the invention. By using pulses instead of telegrams during the transmission, a substantial simplification could be achieved, because the previous bit pattern of the telegrams is converted into a pulse, which is evaluated in a discriminator in the central office. Instead of a telegram transmission, the transmitter of the substation is briefly switched on and off in an advantageous manner.
An exemplary embodiment of the method according to the invention is explained in more detail below with reference to FIGS. 1a and 1b. According to FIG. 1 a, a control unit (not shown) carries out a general query with a request telegram A via a control channel S to substations US1, US2, USJ, US4.bis to USn which are only symbolically indicated. If there is no spontaneous information in the first substation US1, the transmitter (not shown) of this substation reacts with a short oscillation until the transmission level is reached and then switches off again. No spontaneous information is available in the next substation US 2 either, so that the transmitter (not shown) of this substation swings up briefly. Spontaneous information Inf is only available at substation US3. The transmitter of this substation does not vibrate, but remains in the idle position. At the substation US4 there is again no spontaneous information, so that this transmitter oscillates.
A sequence of impulses, which represent a statement about the presence or absence of spontaneous information in the substations, therefore goes to the monitoring channel to the control center. So, as with the known methods, telegrams do not go from each substation back to the control center, but only short pulses correspond to the response time of the transmitter in the substation. In a receiver, not shown, of the control center, these pulses are converted into digital pulses according to FIG. 1b in a discriminator, not shown, so that there is a clear recognition of the spontaneous information in the transmitter. According to the drawing, L-pulses mean no spontaneous information and 0-pulses indicate spontaneous information. The content of this spontaneous information can now be queried in a targeted query to the substations with the spontaneous information.
By reducing the telegram transmission only to settling times of the transmitter concerned, considerable time savings could be achieved. Because the duration of a previous telegram is 250 ms, while the oscillation according to the invention is only about 30 ms. The method according to the invention even advantageously allows the detection of failed substations. Since these substations no longer respond when queried, the control center either registers spontaneous information or a fault. Another targeted query then confirms the fault.
