Abstract
La invención se refiere a un procedimiento para detectar un vertido de hidrocarburos en un medio ac uoso a partir de una pluralidad de imágenes de la superficie del medio acuoso obtenidas mediante una cámara de infrarrojos, que comprende analizar una imagen de la pluralidad de imágenes; verificar si en la imagen se muestra al menos una región su sceptible de ser identificada como un vertido; en caso de resultado positivo, evaluar si el punto que representa un vector de características multid imensional asociado a la región se encuentra dent ro de una zona de referencia definida en un espacio multidimensional.
