SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 35,727, dated February 1 1, 1902.
Application filed January 13, 1902. Serial No. 89.632. Term of patent 7 years.
T0 on whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, EDWARD J. BARCALO, a citizen of the United States, residing at Buffalo, in the county of Erie and State of New York, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Frames for Bed Ends, of which the following is a specification, reference being bad to the accompanying drawing, forming a part thereof.
This design relates to the configuration of the frame of a bed end.
The figure of the accompanying drawing is a perspective view of a frame for a bed end embodying the design.
As shown in the drawing, the frame comprises two upright pillars or members A and transverse horizontal members B, which are provided at their opposite ends with scrolllike or curved portions 0, which join the upright pillars or members A. The scroll portions 0 are curved in a substantially horizontal plane and join the pillars or vertical members on one side thereof and extend outwardly and join the ends of the transverse members between the pillars, so that the transverse members are bowed outwardly without ex tending outward beyond the opposite sides of the pillars.
The essential or leading feature of the design consists in the horizontal transverse member of the end frame bowed outwardly between the pillars and connected thereto by the scroll-like portions.
What I claim is- The design for a frame for a bed end, substantially as herein shown and described.
Witness my hand this 8th day of January,
EDWARD J. BARCALO. Witnesses:
