DESIGN FOR A COLOR-PLATE.

SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 23,918, dated December 25, 1894. Application filed October 15. 1894. Serial No, 525.990- Term of patent 14 years.

To all whom it may concern.

Be it known that I, ANDREW J. Mounow, a citizen of the United States, residing in the city and county of Philadelphia, in the State of Pennsylvania, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Sample Color- Plates, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawings.

Figure 1 is a face or top plan view; Fig. 2, a central longitudinal sectional view on the line 06-00 of Fig. 1, and Fig. 3 a central transverse sectional View on the line 7 -y of Fig. l, of a sample color plate showing my design, these three views being deemed necessary to fully illustrate my design.

Color plates, for which I have invented and produced a new and original design, are plates of glass, variously colored, and designed to be carried by paint salesmen.

The leading feature of my design consists, as shown in the drawings, in the especial curved form or contour of the glass panel or plate, said plate being a laterally curved plane body, or in other words a body possessing the form of a segment of a cylinder, and provided with the end and side recesses.

The glass plate or panel is in the drawings designated A. C are recesses formed in the sides and ends of the plate.

The essential characteristic of my design for color plate is that said plate possesses the form of a segment of a cylinder, and is provided with the end and side recesses.

Having thus described my invention, I claim and desire to secure lJyLetters Patent The design of a color plate, herein shown and described.
