PATENT OFFICE DESIGN FOR A SANDAL OR SIMILAR ARTICLE To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, Jacob Stein, a citizen of the United States, residing in the city, county, and State of New York, have invented a new, original, and ornamental Design for a Sandal or Similar Article, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawing, forming a part thereof.
The figure is a perspective view of a sandal or similar article showing my new design. Both sides of the article are identical.
The drawing shows the upper of a sandal made of spaced longitudinal members, connected by spaced lateral members and having continuous front and rear edges. The upper is open at its toe, and it has a mesh fabric at the toe-portion.
The rear of the shoe has a mesh member and an ankle closure having spaced vertical members, connected by spaced lateral members and having continuous top and bottom edges.
Said ankle closure has separate ends, which are provided with eyelets, through which a lacing cord is passed.
The upper and the ankle closure members are made of the same material. The essential features of my invention are the upper, the upstanding mesh member at the heel, and the ankle closure extending upwardly from the. mesh member.

The ornamental design for a sandal or similar article, substantially as shown and described.
