DESIGN.
G. M. PORTEOUS & F. S. MILLER.
PHOTOGRAPH EXHIBITOR STAND. DI. 18,870. Patented Jan. 15, 1889.
UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE.
GEORGE M. IORTEOI S AND FREDERICK S. MILLER, OF CHICAGO, ILLINOIS.
DESIGN FOR A PHOTOGRAPH-EXHIBITOR STAND.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 18,870, dated January 16, 1889.
Application lilad November 5, 1833. Serial No. 290,064. Term of patent 7 years,
To all whom it may concern:
Be ibknown that, we, GEORGE M. Pon'rnous, a citizen of the United States, and FREDER- [OK S. MILLER, 11 subject of the Queen of Great lritnimflioth residing at Chicago, in the county of (look and State of Illinois, have invented and produced a new and original Design for a Photograph-EHiiliitorSland, of which the following is a specification, referenee being had to the aoeom mnying drawing, forming part thereof.
In said drawing, the figure represents in elevntion a photograph-eachibitor having a stand embodying our design.
The leading feature of our design consists in. the stand having a pair of curved arms extending upu-nrdly from its top portion and pendants diverging downwardly from a, point below said curved arms, substantially as herein shown and set forth,
In said drawing, I3 indicates the stand, hav ing ils top portion formed by a pair of curved upwardly -exLending arms, b, which can be e-it-herplain or orn am enbed, as may be desired.
l l l i The pendants I) drop from a point below the arms I) and diverge downwardly. The lower ends of the pendants may, however, and herein are, turned toward one another, so as to avoid a too abrupt termination. Said pendants can be variously ornament-ed wiLhoul; departing from the spirit and leading feature of our design, it being seen that, since the curved arms I) diverge upwardly, the downward divergence of the pendant-s serves to balance the whole in appearance and also to harmonize with the said curved arms.
Vlhat we claim is A design for a photograplrexhibiborstand, consisting of the stand having upwardly-em tending curved arms I) and pendants bflwhieh diverge downwardly from a point below said curved arms, substantially as shown and described.
