-Be it known that we, Louis C'. WALKER and CHARLEs'E. WILSON, citizens of the United States of America, residing at Muske-` v Our invention relates to improvements inv drawer attachments for desks, andits object is to provide detached and-interchangeable receptacles or drawers adapted to be attached otherwisecomplete without such .,attach ments, and the attachments being so constructedthat they may be used 1n greater or less numbers, or not at all, in connection with the table, and to provide the device with various new and useful features hereinafter more fully described and particularly pointed out in the claims.
Our invention consists essentially of a table or desk complete and finished without the attachments, and various attachments adapt- 4ed to constitute various drawers or filing devices, said attachments preferably being interchangeable and adapted to be used in connection with the table in various relations and in various quantities as occasion requires, and' in certain featuresA of combination and arrangement of parts as will more fully appear by reference tothe accompanying drawmes, in which:

The auxiliary legs 3 can obviously be dispensed with in this device. So also various other means. of securing the various receptacles in place may be utilized without departing from our invention, which consists devices, such receptacles-being secured'in any convenient manner and used singly or preferably also interchangeably related, w ereby they` may be variously arrangedl and used in greater or less numbers and added to or taken from as occasion may require without changing or modifying the construction of the desk or the table proper.
What we claim Ais:--
1. In combination with a table or desk.,a series of su erposed and interchangeablereceptacles, ottom strips r on the table and said receptacles, top strips on said rece tacles adapted to be inserted between the ottom strips, and means for detachably connecting the top and bottom strips, whereby lthe receptacles are detachably and interl tached to the top and spaced apart, interinterchangeable receptacles arranged in su` perposed series beneath the top, means for securing the upper rece tacle to the table and means for detachab y securing .each receptacle to the'next one above the same.
4. In combination with a table or desk having a to and legs at the respective corners, other egs spaced apart fromthe cor ner legs and parallel therewith, a strip between the legs and attached to the top, a strip attached to the .top and spaced apart from the rstv lnamed strip, interchangeable receptacles having top and bottom strips inserted in openings, and rods in said strips whereby the upper receptacle is suspended below the top and the other receptacles are sus ended in series below the upper receptac e.
