What I regard. as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is:
1. in a machine of the character set forth, thecombination of a casing, 21 spreader supported in the casing, and a propeller operating to propel the filter-mass and Washing fluid toward said spreader.
2. in a muchinc of the character set forth, the combination of a casing, a Water supplypipc connnunicsting with the casing at one end. thereof near the bottom of the casing, 21 spreader connected with the same end of the casing at it higher point, a propellerorrangcd opposite said spreader, and an induction port communicating with the interior of theorising near the upper portion. thereof.
In a machine of the character set forth,
the combination of a casing, a watensupply Y pipe connected therewith, a. spreader supported at one. endof the casing, a tubular housing open fit both ends supported at the other end of the casing in axial alinement .with said spreader, and {L rotary propeller in said housing, for the purpose set forth.
