IMPRovED Roemer-CHAIR The Schedule referred to in these Letters Patent and making part of vthe same.
To all whom 'it may concern Be it known that I, GEORGE H. SPAULDING, `of Rockford, in the county of Winnebago, and State of Illinois, have inventeda new and valuable Improvement in Rocking-Chairs; and I do hereby declare that the following is a full, clear, and exact description of the construction and operation of thev same, reference being had tothe annexed drawings, making a part of this specification, and to the letters and gures of ref-V erenoe marked thereon.

My invention relates to rocking-chairs and .y
It consists mainly in devices so constructed as to preserve the centre of gravity to the person occupying the chair, when thrown too far backward or. forward, thus preventingr accidents by upsetting.
Letter A'represents the bodyof the chair;
Letter B, the legs; and
C, the rockers.

The upper end of the' spring is screwed to the bottoms of the front legs of the'V chair, by means of a slot in the end of the spring, which slips under AaV screwhead in the bottom of the front legs.
