Be it known'that I, JOHN F. FRY, ofLowell, in the county -of Middlesex, chnsetts, have invented a new and improved method oi' saving and conducting the through the chimney from any stove, furnace, or other heating-apparatus, the summer-scheen; and I do hereby declare that the following isn. full an being had to the accompanying drawings, and to the letters of reference marked thereon.

The nature of my'inveution consists in the combination of a radiating chimney, metolliosnbstance, with a'n adjoining ain-box, chamber, oiheat-condhctor, in which the air, (admitted cold, or already 'warmed by other means,) is heated by the chimney, and conveyed to rooms 'above that in which the lire is built; said boi: orf-conductor' being completely-closed at the top, but by such valves, that it may easily be made an effectual ventilator .in the warm season.
