Be it known that I, J. W. A. JONES, of Memphis, countyot` Shelby, and State of Tennessee, hnvelnvented a new and useful Improvement in Street-Railwny Scrapers; and I do hereby declare that the following is afull, 'on and operation of the same, reference being had to the annexed drawings, making a. part of this specification, in which- Fignrel is a perspective view.

I construct my car in theusual form. To the bottom, A A, I attach two springs,- B B, with connect-ingbar D, and support or brace E E, constructed in such a manner thnt, when the foot is applied to the upright shaft C, the levers II-ILG G will cause the springs B B to deseend'upon the track I I in such :t manner ns to remove all dirt, filth, Ste., from the track. rllhese levers and springs are so constructed that, when the foot is removed from the upright shaft C, the springs will elevate themselves from the truck, so as to be disengaged from the 'trackat all times, unless the foot or weight is applied to the upright shaft C. Ip'constrnct my springs B B forked, square, or in any other shape, to fit any railway-track.
