Be it known that I, ELLIS R. MEEKER, oi' Elizabeth, in the county of Union',l andState of New Jersey, have invented' a new and improved Combined Screw-Wreneh and Glaw-Hammer and do hereby declare that the following .is a full, clear, Vand exact description thereof, which will enable others skilled' in the art to make and use the same, reference being had to the accompanyingdrawings, forming part of"thisjspecication:

This invention consists in combining a serew-wrench with a claw-hammerin such a manner that the device may be used either in the capacity of a hammer or a wrench with as great facility as if it were made f-'or either purpose above. Almost all screw-wrenches maybe used as a hammer, as they are provided with a hammer-head,

b'ut they form, at the best, but an imperfect implement for that purpose, and are simply designed for temporary use, pounding or hammering simply. v i My invention is designed to combine with a screw-wrench a Vperfect hammer with a. claw, so that nails may be drawn with it, and used in every respect like an ordinary clawhamme1;, while 'the wrench may also b e used, when required, like an ordinary screw-wrench.v 4In the accompanying sheet of drawings Figniel is a side-view of my invention. z
