Be it known'that I, C. D. OLMSTED, of' Williamsport, Lycoming county, and State of Pennsylvania, have invented a new and improved Muley-Saw Hanging; and I do hereby declarel that the following is a full and exact description thereof, reference being hadto the accompanying drawings, and to the letters of reference marked thereon. 'lhe lugs P P, by which the front guide is fastened, are slotted, as seen in gs. 1, 2, and v5, for the purpose of adjusting the front guide E to the rear of the shuttle-blocks F F. The station-ary column I is attached to the framework A A at its lower part, and to it arc fastened, on steps S S, the 'guides J J", on

and the platee of iron, having a slot 2, Figure 6, for the pitman to enter. To the iron plate 'v arecast the lubricating boxes LL, iig; 6, and also one half of the stirrup, indicated by m, in which is a depression to receive a section of a ball, N. The otllcrhalf of the stirrup o is loose, and kept to its place on the iron plate v'bymeans of a lug, cast upon the same, or any other convenient method. A box, rv,- passes through the ball, or section of ball, and through the stirrup, which keeps the saw held in said stirrup.' Haring thus described my invention, what I claim, and desire to procure by Letters Patent, isl. The stirrup, with its fast and loose sides, holding in one. side the section of a ball, and provided with set-screws for adjustingpurposcs, all arranged and constructed as shown and described, and for the purposes indicated.
2. In connection with the stirrup, as shown,' I claim the construction and arrangement of the various parts which constitute my muley-block, as described and for the uses indicated.
