To a whom it may concern:

Be it known that I, HERMANN A. KLEMM, a citizen of the United States of America, and a resident of New York city, county and State of New York, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Needle-Thread Take- Ups for Sewing-Machines, of which the fol-- lowing is a specification.

said link being pivoted to the lever and clamp; at its ends, respectively. These parts are allof well 1 known construction and are not"- clai-med; but in connection with them I pro vide'the bell-crank lever, comprising the long thread-take-up arm jjand the short working arm is, pivoted at Z to asup'porti'ng-hracket m,.locatedso as to supportv the pivot Z at a suitable distance back of the head band alongthelever d in the direction of its pivot.

The lever q extends downward along the side of lever d and has a slot i ranging lengthwise of it, and the lever d'carries arollerstud '11,, working in the slot. The pivot sis set in a larger radiusof pivot e of the needlebar-working lever d than stud u, so that as the needle rises the eye 'n of take-up lever j descends and releases the thread for action gofgthe looper, and when the needle descends .said eye'n'ris'eslanddraws up the slack of the ---loop.ii.

It will be seen that the lever q'and stud or studs of the lever 11 afford very simple, e'asy,

fWOrking, and reliable means of operating the take-up take-up lever.
