The present invention relates to a dress accessory article for women and, more particularly, to a fur accessory article adapted for wear around the head and neck of a woman.

More specifically, the invention relates to a dress accessory article that may be worn in any one of a plurality of different ways around a womans head or neck.

Thus, it is an object of the present invention to provide a fur-piece that may be worn over the head of a woman, as an ear warmer, with the ends tied under her chin, or

may be worn as a choker or as a neck band .aroundthe;

neck, or as a head band around the head.

It is also an object of the present invention to provide a fur-piece accessory, of the character described, which i may be readily, easily, and conveniently converted from one form of use to the other.

It is still another object of the present invention to provide a dress accessory, of the character described, which is of simple construction, relatively easy and economical to manufacture, and may be sold at relatively lowcost.

The foregoing and other objects and advantages of the dress accessory article of the present invention will become more readily apparent to those skilled in the art from the embodiments thereof shown in the accompanying drawings and from the description following. It is to be understood that such embodiments are shown by way of illustration only, to make the principles and practice of the invention more readily comprehensible and without any intent of limiting the invention to the specific details therein shown.

FIG. 1 is an exploded view of one embodiment of a fur dress accessory of the present invention;

FIG. 2 is an elevational view showing the same as worn in one manner of use;

FIG. 3 is a view, on a reduced scale, showing the same as worn in another manner of use;

FIG. 4 is another view showing the article as worn in still another manner of use; and

FIG. 5 is a view showing the article as worn in a still further manner of use.

Referring now in greater detail to the embodiment of the invention illustrated in the drawings, the same is shown to comprise a fur-piece, generally designated as 10, and a pair of ties for use with the fur-piece, generally designated as 12.

The fur-piece 10 may be of a length adapted to fit around the neck of a person, as illustrated in FIG. 3, and

may comprise a fur skin portion, 14, and a lining 16. The fur-piece 10 may have at each end a tab extension, 18, preferably formed of fabric, and secured to the lining 16. The tabs 18 may have co-operating fastening elements secured thereto by which they may be releasably secured to one another, such as the male snap fastener element, 20, on one of the tabs 18, and thefemale snap fastener element, 22, on the other of the tabs 18. t r

The tie elements 12 may each. comprise lengths of parsementerie material, t such as rubber, or braid orbraided cord .24, having, preferably, at one end ianornament, as

being cointected g connected to one of the tabs 18 of the fur-piece 10. Thus, one of the ties 12 may have a male snap fastener element, 20, at the end one of cord, 24, and a female snap fastener element, 22, at the end of its other cord 24.

From the foregoing description it will be clear that the dress-accessory article of the present invention may be used without the ties 12, as a choker, around the neck of a wearer, by Wrapping it around the neck and connecting the fastener elements 20 and 22 of tabs 18 to one another, as shown in FIG. 3. The accessory article may also be worn as an ear warmer, as shown in FIG. 2, by securing the fastening elements 20 and 22 on the ends of the ties 12 to the co-operating fastenerelements. 22 and 20, respectively, on thetabs 18 Of the fur-piece, andthen tyingthe ties under the wearers chin.

.It} may here be statedthat while the fastening elements have been described as male and female snap fastener elements, other co-operating fastening means may be used, such as buttons and buttonholes, for instance. It may here also be stated that where desired one or both of the tabs may be eliminated and one or both of the fastener elements secured directly to the ends of the fur-piece 10.

It may here be further stated that the strip of fur used for the fur-piece may be of natural fur or of synthetic or similar pile fabric.

This completes the description of the ornamental dress accessory of the present invention. It will be readily apparent that it is of relatively simple construction and relatively easy and simple to convert from one use to the other, and to apply it over the body for each of the plurality of uses of which it is capable.

It will be further apparent that numerous modifications and variations may be made in the dress accessory article of the present invention by anyone skilled in the art, in accordance with the principles of the invention hereinabove set forth, without the exercise of any inventive ingenuity. We desire, therefore, to be protected for any andall such variations and modifications that may be made. within thefspirit of the invention and scope of the claims hereto appended.

What we claim is:

1. A multiple-use dress accessory article comprising a fur-piece of a length adapted to fit around the neck of a wearer, said fur-piece having co-operating fastening elements on its ends adapted to be interengaged with one another, and a pair of tie elements each having a fastening element at one end adapted to co-operate for inter-engagement with the fastening element of the other element, and with a fastening element on one of the ends of Saidfurpiece.

2. The dress accessory article of claim 1, wherein each said tie element is formed with a decorative element at its other end.

3. The dress accessory article of claim 2, wherein said decorative element is a fur pom-pom. l

4. The dress accessory article of claim 2, wherein said fastening elements are male and female snap fastener elements.

5. The dress accessory article of claim 4, wherein a fabric tab is secured to the fur-piece on at least one end thereof and one of said fastener elements is secured to said tab.

6. The dress accessory article of claim 4, wherein a tab is secured at each end of said fur-piece and said cooperating fastening elements are each secured to one of said tabs.

7. The dress accessory article of claim 1, wherein said fur-piece comprises an outer strip of fur material and a linin for said strip of fur material.
