1 Claim.

This invention relates to a safety harness for hand purses.

It is an object of the present invention to provide a harness which will secure a purse to the hand of the wearer and to the wrist and wherein the wrist strap may contain a compact.

Other objects of the present invention are to provide a safety harness for hand purses which is of simple construction, easily applied to the hand and arm of the wearer, inexpensive to manufacture, easy to adjust, and efficient in operation.

For other objects and for a better understanding of the invention, reference may be had to the following detailed description taken in connection with the accompanying drawing, in which Fig. 1 is a perspective view of the hand purse and the safety harness as the same appears from the inner face of the hand.

Fig. 2 is a perspective view of the purse and harness as it appears on the rear of the hand.

Fig. 3 is a perspective view of the harness removed from the hand.

Referring now to the figures, II] represents a purse which is of such shape and size as to neatly fit in the palm of the hand. This purse has a slide fastener opening II with a slide I2 operable along the opening. Secured to the rear of the purse is a strap I3 having a buckle I4 through which the opposite end of the strap is extended and made secure about the back of the hand. Elevated above the strap I3 and connected thereto by front and back safety straps I l and I5, is a wrist strap I! having a compact I8 therein. A buckle I9 of the strap I8 serves to Having thus set forth and disclosed the nature of my invention, what is claimed is:

In combination, a pocketbook having an opening therein, a strap attached to one side of the pocketbook and adapted to be extended about the back of a hand, a second strap adapted to be extended about the wrist of a wearer, and safety straps extending respectively over the front and back of the hand and connected with the hand and wrist straps, and said wrist strap having a compact therein and with one of the safety straps being connected to the wrist strap through the compact.
