- The present invention provides an improved household appliance that is distinguished from the prior art at least in this aspect. The household appliance may include: a storage compartment, where the storage compartment has a front opening and a pair of side walls; a container, including an accommodating cavity and a cover used for closing an upwardly open access opening of the accommodating cavity, where the cover may slide from front to back to expose the access opening; and a pair of guide rail assemblies, respectively including a first rail and a second rail, where the second rail is adapted to slide relative to the first rail. The guide rail assembly includes a locking mechanism, and when the container is pulled out and reaches a predetermined position, the locking mechanism locks the first rail and the second rail to prevent the container from moving backward driven by the cover pushed backward.
- Compared with the related art, by using the technical solution provided in the embodiments of the present invention, when the container is pulled out and reaches a predetermined position, the locking mechanism may lock the first rail and the second rail to prevent the second rail from sliding relative to the first rail, and especially, to prevent the second rail from sliding relative to the first rail, which is caused by the container moving backward driven by the cover pushed backward.
- In order to facilitate description of the household appliance provided in the embodiments of the present invention, some accompanying drawings provided in the embodiments of the present invention show six directions that are up, down, left, right, front, and back. The six directions are determined from a perspective of the household appliance facing a user in a normal use state. “Front” represents a direction in which the household appliance is close to a side of a user, “back” represents a direction in which the household appliance is away from the side of the user, and “up”, “down”, “left”, and “right” are determined based on the foregoing “front” and “back” directions according to a natural orientation division. It should be understood that, from another perspective of the household appliance, there are also directions of up, down, left, right, front, and back corresponding to the corresponding perspective. The directions of up, down, left, right, front, and back shown in some accompanying drawings provided in the embodiments of the present invention are merely used for ease of description of the technical solutions provided in the embodiments of the present invention, but do not limit description of the solutions.
- To make the objectives, features, and beneficial effects of the embodiments of the present invention more comprehensible, the specific embodiments of the present invention are described in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings.
-
FIG. 1 is a partial schematic diagram of a household appliance according to an embodiment of the present invention. - As shown in
FIG. 1 , ahousehold appliance 1 provided in this embodiment of the present invention includes astorage compartment 10, acontainer 20, and a pair ofguide rail assemblies 30. In this embodiment, an exemplary example in which a refrigerator is used as the household appliance is used for description. - The
storage compartment 10 has afront opening 12 and a pair ofside walls 11. - The
container 20 is connected to the pair ofside walls 11 of thestorage compartment 10 by using the pair ofguide rail assemblies 30 and may move back and forth relative to thestorage compartment 10 to be pulled out of or pushed in thestorage compartment 10. - Specifically, when pulled out, the
container 20 moves forward relative to thestorage compartment 10 and is at least partially located outside thestorage compartment 10. Specifically, when pulled in, thecontainer 20 moves backward relative to thestorage compartment 10 and is at least partially located inside thestorage compartment 10. -
FIG. 2 is a schematic exploded view of a container according to an embodiment of the present invention. - As shown in
FIG. 2 , thecontainer 20 includes anaccommodating cavity 21 and acover 23. Theaccommodating cavity 21 has an upwardly open access opening 22. Thecover 23 is adapted to close the access opening 22 of theaccommodating cavity 21 and may slide from front to back to expose theaccess opening 22. - Specifically, the
cover 23 slides from front to back to expose (that is, to open) the access opening 22, and thecover 23 slides from back to front to close theaccess opening 22. - A sealing
ring 25 may be further provided between thecover 23 and anedge 24 of theaccess opening 22. The sealingring 25 may be fixed to one of theedge 24 of the access opening 22 or thecover 23. When thecover 23 closes the access opening 22, the sealingring 25 is adapted to bear the gravity of thecover 23 to be squeezed to seal theaccommodating cavity 21. - In some specific examples, the
cover 23 may include aframe 231 and acover plate 232 disposed in theframe 231. - Specifically, the
frame 231 may be made of materials such as plastics or silica gels. Thecover plate 232 may be made of tempered glass or other materials with a sufficient weight to enhance the gravity applied by thecover 23 to the sealingring 25 and to enable the sealingring 25 to be squeezed to seal theaccommodating cavity 21. - In some preferred specific examples, the sealing
ring 25 may be mounted on a side of thecover 23 facing theaccess opening 22. When thecover 23 slides from back to front to close the access opening 22, the sealingring 25 is pressed on theedge 24 of the access opening 22 along with thecover 23 and is squeezed to seal theaccommodating cavity 21. - Specifically, the sealing
ring 25 may be made of deformable materials that are elastic and compressible. When thecover 23 slides from back to front to close the access opening 22, the sealingring 25 is abutted against theedge 24 of the access opening 22 by using a bottom of the sealing ring, and is squeezed and deformed under the gravity of thecover 23, to discharge at least a part of air between the sealingring 25 and theedge 24 of the access opening 22, thereby sealing theaccommodating cavity 21. - Compared with that the sealing
ring 25 is mounted on theedge 24 of the access opening 22, the sealingring 25 is mounted on the side of thecover 23 facing the access opening 22, which is beneficial to hide the sealingring 25, so that a probability that the sealingring 25 is contaminated may be effectively reduced. - In the technical solutions provided in the embodiments of the present invention, when the
cover 23 closes the access opening 22, thecover 23 is supported on theedge 24 of theaccess opening 22. When thecover 23 slides from front to back or from back to front, there may be a gap between the sealingring 25 and theedge 24 of the access opening 22 in a gravity direction, so that thecover 23 may slide relative to theedge 24. - A
roller 26 may also be provided between thecover 23 and theedge 24 of theaccess opening 22. When thecover 23 slides from front to back or from back to front, theroller 26 may roll from front to back or from back to front along theedge 24 of the access opening 22, so that there is a gap between the sealingring 25 and theedge 24 of the access opening 22 in the gravity direction. - In some specific examples, the
roller 26 may be mounted on the side of thecover 23 facing theaccess opening 22. Corresponding to the position of theroller 26, agroove 27 is provided on theedge 24 of theaccess opening 22. When thecover 23 closes the access opening 22, thecover 23 sinks, and theroller 26 enters thegroove 27 to eliminate the gap between the sealingring 25 and theedge 24. When thecover 23 opens the access opening 22, thecover 23 rises, and theroller 26 slides out of thegroove 27 to form the gap between the sealingring 25 and theedge 24. - To ensure that when the
cover 23 slides back and forth under the support of theroller 26, there is the gap between the sealingring 25 and theedge 24, a lowest point of theroller 26 mounted on thecover 23 may be lower than a lowest point of the sealingring 25 in a free state. The free state is a state when the sealingring 25 is not squeezed by the gravity of thecover 23. - To prevent the impact of the sealing
ring 25 on the rolling of theroller 26 and the abrasion of the rolling of theroller 26 on the sealingring 25, theroller 26 and the sealingring 25 may not be in contact in an axial direction of theroller 26 and have a certain interval. - In other specific examples, the
roller 26 may also be mounted on a side portion of theedge 24. Corresponding to the position of theroller 26, there is agroove 27 at a corresponding position of thecover 23. - To make the
cover 23 slide back and forth smoothly, therollers 26 may be disposed symmetrically on left and right sides of thecover 23 respectively. Further, a plurality of therollers 26 may also be disposed on one side of thecover 23 simultaneously. - One of the pair of
guide rail assemblies 30 is located between theside wall 11 on the left side of thestorage compartment 10 and thecontainer 20, and the other of the pair ofguide rail assemblies 30 is located between theside wall 11 on the right side of thestorage compartment 20 and thecontainer 20. -
FIG. 3 is a schematic diagram of a guide rail assembly according to an embodiment of the present invention. - As shown in
FIG. 3 , a pair ofguide rail assemblies 30 form a set, including afirst rail 31 and asecond rail 32. - Specifically, the
first rail 31 may be a fixed rail and is fixed to thecorresponding side wall 11 of thestorage compartment 10. - The
second rail 32 may be a slide rail and is fixed to the corresponding side of the container 20 (the side of thecontainer 20 close to thefirst rail 31 in the same assembly). Thesecond rail 32 is slidably connected to thefirst rail 31, and thesecond rail 32 is adapted to slide back and forth relative to thefirst rail 31. - When the
second rail 32 slides forward relative to thefirst rail 31, thecontainer 20 moves forward relative to thestorage compartment 10, so that the container is at least partially pulled out of thestorage compartment 10. When thesecond rail 32 slides backward relative to thefirst rail 31, thecontainer 20 moves backward relative to thestorage compartment 10, so that thecontainer 20 is at least partially pushed into thestorage compartment 10. - After the
container 20 is at least partially pulled out of thestorage compartment 10, a pushing force from front to back may be applied to thecover 23 to open the access opening 22 of theaccommodating cavity 21, thereby facilitating a user to take and place stored items by using theaccess opening 22. - When the pushing force from front to back is applied to the
cover 23, a friction force generated between thecover 23 and the access opening 22 of theaccommodating cavity 21, or a friction force between the sealingring 25 and theedge 24 of the access opening 22 or thecover 23 makes thecontainer 20 move backward along with thecover 23, so that the access opening 22 is difficult to be opened, or an opened opening is relatively small, which is inconvenient for the user to take and place the stored items. - In the technical solutions provided in the embodiments of the present invention, the
guide rail assembly 30 further includes a locking mechanism. - When the
container 20 is pulled out and reaches a predetermined position, the locking mechanism is adapted to lock thefirst rail 31 and thesecond rail 32 to prevent thesecond rail 32 from sliding relative to thefirst rail 31, and especially, to prevent thesecond rail 32 from sliding relative to thefirst rail 31, which is caused by thecontainer 20 moving backward driven by thecover 23 pushed backward. - Further, a locking force of the locking mechanism on the
first rail 31 and thesecond rail 32 should be greater than a friction force generated by the sealingring 25 on theedge 24 of the access opening 22 or thecover 23 when thecover 23 is opened. - The locking mechanism may include a first matching portion fixed to the
first rail 31 and a second matching portion fixed to thesecond rail 32. When thecontainer 20 is pulled out and reaches the predetermined position, the first matching portion and the second matching portion are engaged to lock thefirst rail 31 and thesecond rail 32. - The predetermined position may be a position where the
container 20 is located when the container is pulled out to a maximum stroke, or a position where thecontainer 20 is located when the container is pulled out to a certain stroke in the middle. The certain stroke in the middle may be determined according to factors such as usage habits or needs of the user. - The locking mechanism is also adapted to release locked states of the
first rail 31 and thesecond rail 32 when a pushing force from front to back and greater than the locking force of the locking mechanism is applied to thecontainer 20. - The locking mechanism provided in the embodiments of the present invention is described below in different specific implementations.
