Abstract
Description
- The invention relates to a lower body clothing for men in the form of underpants, boxer shorts, long underpants, cycling pants, sports leggings, trunks, briefs or a swimsuit, and more particularly an article of underclothing fitted to the lower body.
- A lower body clothing according to the preamble of claim 1 is known from
RU 2 409 995 Cl. This lower body garment fitted to the lower body has an opening through which the genitals can be guided into a pocket, the opening being formed as a vertical slit between two abutting folds of fabric, which extend from the waist to the genitals and are interconnected in the area of the perineum. The fabric edges of the slit folds thus form a pocket for the genitals. - The disadvantage of this undergarment is that the two fabric edges of the slit folds cannot be combined to form a stable pocket, which adversely affects the position of the genitals.
- The object of the invention is to optimize the shape of the pocket, its arrangement on the lower body clothing and the accessibility to the genitals, so that the perspiration and the temperature of the genitals are reduced and the comfort is increased.
- This object is achieved with the features of claim 1. Advantageous embodiments are the subject of the dependent claims.
- In the case of lower body clothing in the form of a pants-like main part with a waistband and an opening in the region of the genitals, through which the genitals can be guided into a pocket, wherein the slit-like vertical opening is formed between two fabric fold sections of the main part, it is proposed according to the invention, that the ends of the fabric fold forming portions are connected to the main part by a respective seam disposed away from the slit-like opening and the pocket is designed as a one-sided open bag and is arranged with its open side in front of the slit-like opening on the main body.
- In this case, the bag is connected to the main part at least on both sides of the slot-like opening, preferably also in the area of the underpanel. By using a separately manufacturable one-side open bag, which is subsequently connected to the main body, an optimal fit of the bag and a pleasant comfortable position of the genitals housed in the pocket can be achieved. The temperature of the genitals can be easily reduced by 2° C. compared to the body temperature.
- The bag itself may be single- or multi-ply. The materials may or may not be the same as the main part or may be at least partially provided as functional materials with different properties for example absorbent and/or antibacterial.
- The pattern of the bag, in a preferred embodiment, is comprised of two L- and planar-sections, which form the side parts of the bag, and a midsection connected to the outer L-edge of the L- and planar-sections.
- An optimum fit is achieved when the midsection has parallel side edges until the direction change of the L-edge and then isosceles trapezoidally extending side edges. As a result, the bag also acquires its characteristic shape, namely that it has been bent over a straight first section in the region of the parallel side edges into a second section with the trapezoidal side edges compared to the first section.
- Since the bag—as described—has a middle part without a seam, there is also no risk of skin irritation of the genitals through a seam.
- A further embodiment provides, that bag is open in the waistband region, or is provided with a zipper or Velcro or a row of buttons or closed with an elastic band.
- Both from the standpoint of design as well as the accessibility for the genitals, it is advantageous if the bag is connected laterally at the sides of the slit-like opening in each case by a seam and/or zipper/hook-and-loop fastener to the main part.
- A seam reduction is achieved when the seam or the attachment of the zipper or of the hook and loop fastener of the bag with the main portion coincides respectively with the seam at which the main part is connected to the ends of the fabric fold forming sections.
- The seams may be formed by sewing threads and/or they may be glued. When gluing, the seams or individual seam can be glued on overlaps.
- In the case of seams with stitching thread, the overlock chain seam and the 3- or 4-thread flat seam have been tried and tested.
- The slit-like opening in the main part can exist between two adjacent fabric fold sections or between two fabric fold sections abutting in at least one section or from fabric fold sections arranged biconvex to one another.
- The invention will be explained with reference to the drawings.
- There is shown in:
-
FIG. 1 the lower body clothing in a front view with opened pocket, -
FIG. 2 a pattern and -
FIG. 3 a partial side view of the lower body clothing. -
FIG. 1 shows the lower body clothing in the form of an underpants with a pant-like main part 1 with awaistband 2. The main part 1 has an opening in the form of a vertical slit like opening 3 for the genitals. Theopening 3 is located between twofabric fold sections 4, joining in an upper and lower section, otherwise arranged biconvex to each other, which are part of the main part 1 or connected thereto. - The ends 4.1 of the
fabric fold sections 4 are folded outwards 180° and connected to the main part 1 by arespective seam 5. In the area the slit like opening 3 there is no seam, but only a soft material fold so that no skin irritation of the genitals occurs when they are displaced outwardly in the bag 6. - The bag 6 is an independent part which is manufactured separately before the slit like opening 3 is attached to the main part.
- The bag 6 is comprised of two L- and flat-shaped sections 6.1, 6.2, which form the side parts of the bag 6, and a midsection 6.3 connecting the L- and flat-shaped sections 6.1 and 6.2 at the outer L-edge 6.4. In part, other embodiments are shown in
FIG. 2 . - The bag is here open at the waistband, but can also be closed with a zipper or Velcro fastener or a button row or be equipped with an elastic waistband.
- The midsection 6.3 has parallel side edges up to the change of direction of the L-edge 6.4 and then isosceles trapezoidally extending side edges 6.5.
- The bag is thereby given its characteristic shape, which is shown in
FIG. 3 . - The bag 6 is here, in front of the slit, connected on the sides with the main part respectively by a seam. Instead of the seam, a zipper or a Velcro fastener or a row of buttons could be provided.
- The seam is formed here by sewing threads. It would also be possible to have an adhesive bond, preferably on overlap.
- In order to reduce the number of seams, the seam for attaching the bag 6 to the main body 1 coincides with the
fastening seam 5 of thefabric fold portions 4 with the main body 1. - Further, the bag 6 is connected to the main part 1 in the region of the cradle. Here also the
underpanel 7 is sewn inside the main body 1. The area of the underpanel is indicated in the figure by an arrow. - For the seams produced by means of sewing threads, there may be considered in particular the overlock stitch with chain seam and the 3- or 4-thread flat seam.
-
FIG. 2 shows a pattern of the individual parts, which are used to equip the lower body clothing with an optimized bag 6 and which are used for bag making. - Thus there are shown from top to bottom:
-
- main part 1
- waistband 2
-
underpanel 7 - two
fabric fold sections 4 - right and left bag parts 6.1, 6.2
- midsection 6.3 of the bag.
- The bag 6 consists of two L-shaped and flat sections 6.1, 6.2, which form the side parts of the bag 6 and a midsection 6.3 connected to the L-shaped and planar sections 6.1 and 6.2 at the outer L-edge 6.4.
- It can be clearly seen that the midsection 6.3 has parallel side edges until the change of direction of the L-edge 6.4, and then isosceles trapezoidally extending side edges 6.5.
-
FIG. 3 shows the bag in its characteristic shape, with a straight first section in the region of the parallel side edges 6.4 and with a second section with the trapezoidal side edges 5.5, so that the second section is kinked relative to the first section. - The slot-
like opening 3 is here formed by thespread fabric folds 4, that is, it is closed when not in use. The slot-like opening 3 can also be formed above and possibly below by abuttingfabric fold sections 4, while it is opened therebetween. Another possibility of forming the slot-like opening 3 provides that their edges are biconvex to each other—the opening has the shape of a lens. - The proposed lower body clothing suggests an appropriate and ergometric optimal fit for the genitals. Pinching and bruising and skin irritation caused by sutures or perspiration are avoided and the temperature of the genitals is optimal.
