Abstract

A fashion accessory system for attachment to clothing that provides a limitless assortment of combinations of gems or jewelry items to be attached to the Sang Gems pin. The pin can be worn by itself as adornment or provide a platform for attachment of color coordinated, or style coordinated jewelry items to achieve a unique and variable look for an existing wardrobe, or a complimentary sparkle to a new article of clothing.

Description

    CROSS REFERENCE TO RELATED APPLICATIONS
  • This application claims priority to and the benefit of U.S. Provisional Patent Application No. 62/063,731, filed on Oct. 14, 2014, the entire contents of which are incorporated by reference in their entirety as if fully set forth herein.
  • STATEMENT REGARDING FEDERALLY SPONSORED RESEARCH OR DEVELOPMENT
  • None.
  • TECHNICAL FIELD
  • This disclosure relates to personal adornments in general, and more particularly fashion accessories attachable to clothing or worn as jewelry.
  • BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
  • Many consumers realize the importance of accessorizing their clothes or outfits with various items such as purses, shoes, watches, etc. Of equal importance is having the ability to accessorize clothes such that the clothes can be worn in differing combinations such that existing clothes appear to be a new outfit.
  • Accessories provide individuals with the ability to change the look of an outfit without changing any existing pieces, or purchasing new items. Adding an accessory to an outfit can transform the outfit, or just give it the extra pizzazz it needs to translate from day to night, or casual to dress casual. Additionally accessories can also provide a hint of personality to the otherwise standard look of work attire, or a work/school uniform.
  • SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
  • In general, the Sang Gems pin is a fashion accessory that can be attached to clothing to provide a platform for an endless combination of gems and jewelry to be attached by using a variety of Sang Gems pieces. The Sang Gems pin has a hole or attachment point for receiving the attachment pieces, thereby providing the ability to change the colors, styles, and textures of the overall accessory to match or create a new outfit.
  • The Sang Gems pin is a decorative accessory by itself, and is attachable to clothing by the clutch attachment, which has a locking feature to secure the pin to the article of clothing. The clutch attachment can also be worn reversibly wherein the Sang Gems pin is placed on the inside of the clothing and the accessories are attached to the post and secured by the clutch attachment on the outside of the clothing. In this configuration, the clutch attachment itself is a fashion accessory and a part of the variety of accessory combinations available.
  • The Sang Gems pin can be made in a continuously evolving selection of sizes, colors, shapes, hole sizes, finishes, and number of holes. This variety allows the individual to further coordinate their Sang Gems pin with the accessories and or jewelry that are being attached to the Sang Gems pin.
  • Unless otherwise defined, all technical and scientific terms used herein have the same meaning as commonly understood by one of ordinary skill in the art. Although methods and materials similar or equivalent to those described herein can be used in the practice or testing of any described embodiment, suitable methods and materials are described below. In addition, the materials, methods, and examples are illustrative only and not intended to be limiting. In case of conflict with terms used in the art, the present specification, including definitions, will control.
  • The foregoing summary is illustrative only and is not intended to be in any way limiting. In addition to the illustrative aspects, embodiments, and features described above, further aspects, embodiments, and features will become apparent by reference to the drawings and the following detailed description and claims.
  • DESCRIPTION OF AN EXEMPLARY EMBODIMENT
  • In an exemplary embodiment, a circular antique brushed gold metal Sang Gems pin having a ¼ inch circular hole approximately ¼ inch from the bottom of the pin for receiving accessory connectors is attached to an article of clothing by pressing the attachment post on the back of the pin through the article of clothing and securing the pin in position with the clutch attachment.
  • DESCRIPTION OF ALTERNATE EMBODIMENTS
  • In an alternate embodiment, the Sang Gems pin is made from a synthetic polymer for attachment to lightweight garments, and can be found in many bright colors to compliment the costume jewelry, necklaces, bracelets, or ear rings that can be attached thereto.
  • In another alternate embodiment, the Sang Gems pin can be reversibly attached with the pin attached through the inside of the clothing so that the post is on the outside of the clothing for attachment of various accessories which are then secured onto the post by the decorative Sang clutch.
  • In an alternate embodiment the Sang Gems clutch base is oversized and contains a hole for attachment of jewelry and gems. This embodiment allows the clutch to be double sided and wearable with close fitting apparel. This embodiment also allows the gems and jewelry to be attached either: 1. through the pin on the outside of clothing, or 2. through the clutch, on the outside of clothing, with the pin worn against your body.
  • In another alternate embodiment, the Sang Gems pin has multiple attachment holes so that two or more attachments can be made directly through the pin, allowing for multiple branches of accessories to be worn at the same time. For example to show school spirit, a student might attach a school mascot pin to one attachment chain, and a school colors flag pin to a second attachment chain.
  • OBJECTS AND ADVANTAGES
  • It is an object of the Sang Gems accessory system to provide a vast number of combination possibilities for interchangeable components of costume jewelry to complement an outfit.
  • It is also an object of the Sang Gems accessory system to provide a means of quickly changing the look of an existing outfit by creating a unique accessory.
  • It is also an object of the Sang Gems accessory system to provide a platform for displaying your favorite sports teams colors and or logo.
  • It is also an object of the Sang Gems accessory system to provide a platform for displaying a personal message or photo unique to each individual.
  • It is a further object of the Sang Gems accessory system to allow individuals to express their creativity by creating a combination of jewelry, photos and messages that makes a personalized fashion statement.
  • Other objects, advantages and features of the Sang Gem system will become apparent upon a consideration of the detailed description, when taken in conjunction with the accompanying drawings and drawing descriptions.

  • DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF DRAWINGS
  • FIG. 1 shows the circular Sang Gems pin without any connectors attached. The pin is approximately 1 inch in diameter and has a hole near the bottom beneath the lettering. The hole is approximately ¼″ in diameter and has a raised circular edge.
  • FIG. 2 shows the front of the Sang Gems pin with the original clutch for securing the pin onto an article of clothing.

  • CONCLUSION, RAMIFICATIONS AND SCOPE
  • While the above descriptions contain much specificity, these should not be construed as limitations on the scope of any embodiment, but as exemplifications of the presently presented embodiments thereof. Therefore, it will be understood that various modifications may be made without departing from the spirit and scope of the various embodiments presented herein. Many other ramifications and variations are possible within the teachings of the various embodiments. For example, rhinestones and glitter could be added to the Sang Gems pin for extra razzle dazzle. Additionally multiple Sang Gems pins can be connected together to form a design or artistic pattern. Accordingly, other embodiments are within the scope of the following claims.

Claims (12)

What is claimed is:
1. A fashion accessory system for creating clothing adornment combinations comprising:
a. a circular pin having a front surface, a back surface, a post attached to said back surface, and a substantially circular void through said front and back surface;
b. a connecting means for attaching items to the pin through the void; and
c. a clutch attachment for securing the pin to an article of clothing.
2. The fashion accessory system of claim 1 further including one or more accessories for attachment through the connecting means.
3. The fashion accessory system of claim 1 wherein the connecting means is a jump ring.
4. The fashion accessory system of claim 2 wherein the connecting means is a lobster claw clasp.
5. The fashion accessory system of claim 2 wherein the clutch attachment is reversible for wearing on the outside of clothing.
6. A fashion accessory system for creating jewelry and clothing adornment comprising:
a. a decorative pin having a front and back surface with a plurality of circular voids and a post for attachment protruding from the back surface of the pin,
b. a connecting means for attaching items to the pin through one or more of the voids, and
c. a clutch for attachment to the post.
7. The fashion accessory system of claim 6, wherein the connecting means is selected from the group consisting of spring ring clasps, lobster claw clasps and clips.
8. The fashion accessory system of claim 7, wherein the connecting means also has a decorative metal ball.
9. The fashion accessory system of claim 6, wherein the connecting means comprises two or more fashion accessories attached to a jump ring connector.
10. The fashion accessory system of claim 6, wherein the clutch is decorative and larger than a traditional clutch for attachment on the outside of the wearer's clothes.
11. The fashion accessory of claim 6, wherein said decorative pin has a die stamp on the front surface.
12. A method for creating a Sang Gems fashion accessory comprising;
a. providing a Sang Gems pin for attachment to clothing;
b. attaching a connecting means to the pin;
c. adding one or more fashion accessories to the connecting means; and
d. securing the Sang Gems pin to the clothing with a clutch.
