Then the fixingmat 14 is fixed on thefront cover 11 for positioning theslide button 13. Thus, theouter assembly 10 is also assembled. Thirdly, the protruding strips 1I la of thefront cover 11 are engaged into theguide slots 213 a of theupper board 21. Theguide portion 132 of theslide button 13 is received in the L-shaped groove of the upper board and the braking protrusion is received in thefirst braking groove 21 la to connect theouter assembly 10 and theinner assembly 20. Thepivot 24 is connected to the camera after completing the assembly of theinner assembly 20 and theouter assembly 10. - When the
battery cover 100 is in a closed state, theoperation portion 131 of theslide button 13 resists on an end of thefirst opening 110 b. Theguide portion 132 of theslide button 13 is received in thesecond portion groove 211 e of the L-shapedgroove 211 and thebraking protrusion 143 of the fixingmat 14 is received in thefirst braking groove 211 b. The tooth-shapedportions 116 of thefront cover 11 are lodged in the camera, so that thebattery cover 100 can be positioned on the battery compartment. - When opening the
battery cover 100, theoperation portion 131 of theslide button 13 is pushed to another end of thefirst opening 110 b. Then theguide portion 132 of theslide button 13 slides to thefirst portion groove 211 d of the L-shapedgroove 211 a. At this time, thefront cover 11 is slidable along the extending direction of thefirst portion groove 211 d of the L-shapedgroove 211. The tooth-shapedportions 116 of thefront cover 11 are escaped from the camera and thebraking protrusion 143 of the fixingmat 14 is changed to be received thesecond braking groove 211 c with the movement of thefront cover 11. Thus, theinner assembly 20 can be unfolded from the camera via a pulling movement on thefront cover 11. Because the operation of opening thebattery cover 100 requires sliding movements in two different directions, thebattery cover 100 will not easily open due to an impact such as dropping of the camera, thus the battery can be protected from being lost or damaged easily. - It will be understood that the above particular embodiments and methods are shown and described by way of illustration only. The principles and the features of the present invention may be employed in various and numerous embodiments thereof without departing from the scope of the invention as claimed. The above-described embodiments illustrate the scope of the invention but do not restrict the scope of the invention.
